2009 traverse bleeding the power steering system

My mother in law has this car and is having these same issues. She just had the pump replaced and is hard turning left. Thanks for the tip, I'm gonna try this today.

Did u leave the cap off while turning wheele to bleed? Or put it back on before turning?

I'm having trouble with a Buick enclave 2008 it's my daily driver , its gushing out powerstering fluid from the cap of reservoir every time I turn it throws out all of powerstering fluid threw there I've replaced the o ring from cap and chekd all my powerstering pressure line and no leaks, any suggestions that might help

I've been trying to bleed my system for a long time. I have most of the air out but can't get the last bit out. The pump still makes a little noise. Any recommendations?

Repeat it again if you have too, that probably we'll get it out, hope that helps,these vehicles have a lot of issues with that.

@@williewest2370 I left the power steering cap open over night and the fluid dropped an inch so got more ait out but I'm going to try again on the weekend. Man its a hard one to bleed. Is there a bleeder valve that I can use or is this and a pressure bleeder the only way?

@@sadboy8413 no, I never did get it all out. I took the cap off the reservoir but sitting on top so that it stopped dirt from getting in and it let a large amount of ait out but there's still a bit of air in the system. I can't figure out what to do other that draining it and doing it all over again but putting smaller amounts in with the front jacked off the ground and turning the wheels to bleed as I fill with new fluid. What have you tried so far?
