These were absolutely fantastic. We had a GMT800 EXt growing up, it was truly a do it all vehicle. Dad put about 40k a year on it, so wanted a nice place to spend time in, but also worked it as a truck quite a bit (probably atypical) - lots of towing and gross things in the bed. I thought it was so cool growing up and wanted to buy it when he was done with it after 250k miles but they were still fetching decent money at the time and because the age was relatively low still given the amount it was driven. I couldn’t come close to what others were offering even with that mileage (I had just started university). He’d have let me have it for anything I could’ve come up with but I didn’t want to go that route. Sorta wish I did these days, and have been keeping any eye out for pristine examples for sale.

I just found this channel today, and I just wanted say this channel is awesome. I’m frankly offended that this channel doesn’t have more exposure on KZbin. Definitely a hidden gem.

I turned 18 in 2002. I'm old. I just bought a dirt cheap, red 04 Escalade for all of these reasons and it really is just so damn good. I love everything about it.

Have you had any issues so far? I'm looking to get one soon

@yosuf8998 the one that I purchased was extremely cheap and was going to be parted out. There's been a lot of stuff I've had to fix on it but that's not because of the truck. It's just because mine was extremely neglected

This video is just convincing me to buy an old escalade

I just bought an 06 ESV to replace my 96 suburban. Wasn’t looking, but spotted a pristine example locally that I couldn’t pass up. It’s quite an upgrade.

How so? I have a 2002 suburban, just curious what differences you notice as I'm looking for a second vehicle and considering an escalade.

Juat bought a 2014 ESV a few days ago with 70k miles. Had a 1999 Escalade before that. All the older ones before 2015 are good solid trucks.

I barely remember the second 2 I grew up with the third generation escalade. I'm a 2005 generation, and I want to restore Early 2000s. GM stuff.

I was raised in a black 1998 Lincoln Navigator from birth to 12 years old. Probably would still have it if someone didn’t run a red light.

I'd still rather have a navigator. Even an excursion. And any Cadillac other than this
