Acid dipped doors is my hero sandbagging. They acid dipped EVERYTHING that wouldn't risk losing a race. Love it! He mentioned Mooresville N.C. you can buy lightly used nascar motors from Roush Racing out of there. I heard for around 13 thousand dollars. 800+ horse is no problem. They will also sell you transmissions,brakes, suspension components...etc. Don't worry about being out revved by exotics either as 9000+ rpm is easy in nascar. Good Ole boy doing EVERYTHING THAT IS RIGHT IN THE WORLD. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exhaust exit location: I thought that area behind the cab just tumbled the air back there. Wouldn't that inhibit exhaust gas extraction at speed? Still a neat build. Thanks for covering unique vehicles as we'd otherwise may not have seen this

That area would be a large low-pressure zone and having all the exhaust dumped in there probably buys him back a significant amount of downforce on the rear of the vehicle. Reading between the lines, I'm pretty sure that there is little on this truck that was done 'just because'. He said the exhaust is that way because it sounds good, but I bet that if there was a performance advantage to having it some other way, it would be that other way.

I coached Rick at Road Atlanta with Chin Track Days. It shutoff on the front straight and we saw smoke. I figured we were done for the day. He had it fixed in about 20 minutes, and said, "Let's do happy hour". He did 170 mph on the back straight, and told me he could have done 200, but I was in the right seat. This truck is better than anyone knows...
