Honestly Prime actually stuck the closest to the actual Aligned Continuity Bible so I'm not sure why it gets all the blame for doing it's own thing when others were going further off continuity. In fact High Moon went on record saying they wanted to create a G1 Prequel and what little Aligned elements they did have they were essentially forced by Hasbro to include.

That was why I didn't like the show creators of Prime, they didn't want to go along with the Transformers Bible they made for the Aligned continuity, and wanted to do their own thing. As a form of pushback, they created the Rescue Bots, and Hasbro had no choice but to accept it as part of their Aligned Timeline.

THAT'S because the show creators for Prime didn't want to follow Hasbro's plan of an Aligned continuity, and wanted to do their own thing. High Moon Studios was mostly cooperative with their plan, despite wanting their games to be more of a reimagining of the G1 Transformers pre-history. Hasbro was a bit more lenient with them and allowed most of what High Moon did. As for the TV shows, the creators of Prime made the Rescue Bots series as a form of push back and derail Hasbro's plans for the Aligned Transformers. Only in small cases did Hasbro have to kinda strongarm the studio into keeping things with their plan. Thankfully Prime ended at the very least on a high note.

Well according to the basics video on the Aligned Continuity, it wasn't meant be seemless. In fact people working on the shows and games were given alot of creative freedom int terms of design so long as the broad strokes were followed and that it all "fit together if you squint at it" and it did. Shows like Rescue Bots and transformers Go weren't actually supposed to be part of the continuity but they got shoved in there.

@@alejandroelluxray5298 Well, that's mostly Prime, since the Studio that made the show was unfamiliar with most of the lore of transformers. Their knowledge being limited to the films, their concept artists mostly based the character models on the more sleek, alien-like looking designs. Also the writers of prime didn't want to be held down by any other media, as they want to do their own thing. This along with the show quickly becoming overbudget, results in the continuity plan going off the rails of the original plan. Of course Rescue Bots was add to the continuity, against the Binder of Revelations(the original vision of the Aligned universe), since it was supposed to be a more mature, serious, and refined universe. However due to miscommunication between directors of various projects at the time, along with some poor toy sales results in the overall downfall of the continuity. Sure, the games, novels and shows are supposed to connect, but there are many details that either don't match up, ignored, or retcon by later entries. Sure there are the Dinobot comics along with the Covenant of Primus, both products that are made to connect the games with prime. However I felt like they exist as a form of damage control. Since Hasbro likely realized how messy this continuity has become, and made the Prime writers made the comics and the Covenant as essentially duck tape to make the two distinct media stick. However, it can't work because if you look at them without even squinting, you realized that the games and shows aesthetics don't match with each other that well. Since Prime mostly adapts the alien-looking complex design of the movies mix with a little animated, while the High Moon Cybertron games aesthetics are mostly of G1 designs, with a mix of Tron lighting emissives, cyberpunk-like elements, and high tech-looking vechicles. Plus the later shows of Aligned continuity like RID 2015 would make references and connections with Prime, while ignoring the game's events. It is a shame that this continuity got screwed over like this. Perhaps if Hasbro made sure that everyone was on board with the Aligned project before production of WFC, FOC, and Prime. Resulting in the third phase of the Aligned planned projects being cannecelled, as well as a massive tonal shift from the dark and serious tone from the High Moon Cybertron games and Prime to the light heartedness of RID 2015 and the Rescue Bots shows

@@bionic-tale4313 If I could, I would keep the tone of RiD 2015 somewhat serious, and make it feel more post-war. Make the wounds inflicted by the war still feel fresh despite the amount of time and reconstruction that has taken place. I'd also make the Council and Soundwave still be the ultimate threat to the new post-war society, but have it planned from the beginning, and have the decoy villains be steeljaw an the combaticons, who have since, gone rogue along with some other HVT Decepticons from the war. At the same time, keep some of the new "decepticons". Moreso for the overall plot. That being that the Council is creating animosity amongst the new generation by labelling those who commit crimes as Decepticons, in an attempt to supress and demonize them, thus showcasing the problem to Bumblebee tha tthe current council has issues and that animosity doesn't just disappear when the conflict is over.
