Your Raptor looks great. It’s been cool going on this journey with you!

Great shocks. I have them on my 2013. My rear shocks have dials like the front so they don't need tools to adjust and lock it down. I drive them from IL, out to AZ, UT, NV for three weeks a year and soon as I leave the pavement, I adjust and off I go. Big diff from the stock fox. Expensive, but worth it if you drive it hard! And I do! 👍

Have you had to rebuild those 3.0 shocks. Do they rebuild kits or how does one go about getting those shocks maintained?

Thanks for taking the time to test the shocks before sharing the update. Would love to see more Raptor content. Thx!

We've got lots of more Raptor content to come don't worry!

Very nice, I have had my back factory shocks rebuilt once already. Packing quite a bit of weight in the box, I will be looking for something bigger, perhaps. I also had a set of RPG tie rod ends in place of the flimsy factory rods, look awesome work great. Have fun go offroad

Great video thanks it helped a lot We are going to buy these fox upgrade for our Raptor rebuild project. we are just figuring out what else is missing from factory first so we can replace or upgrade. Stage 3 site has a lot more than most sites. overall great video keep it up!

Nice job there Noah! I like that set up and excellent review. Next time you take the front end apart, Maybe do the UCA’s????
@NoahStage35 жыл бұрын
Thank you! UCA's would be an excellent upgrade for this truck so next time we have it up on the lift maybe we can get a set on there

The video made installation look like a breeze. What are your thoughts on this? I'm weighing the options of a new setup or getting the factory setup rebuilt.

If you run mid perch on the front can you adjust the 3.0 for the height ?
@wmurray233 жыл бұрын
So the bypass bracket just bolts to an existing hole on the frame?

This setup for the gen 1 says 0-2" lift when using this setup, did you notice any difference in the ride height?
@NoahStage35 жыл бұрын
Good question. We gained around 1" in the front which helped level the stance and we didn't see a need to adjust it any higher.

Awesome video. this will be my next mod I do to my 2014 Raptor. Will you do a video on a differential cover upgrade. Maybe a Ford performance differential cover! 👍👍
@NoahStage35 жыл бұрын
It's definitely worth the upgrade, I'm sure you'll enjoy the kit! We haven't talked about doing a diff cover on this build, but that might be something we can throw on as we continue to upgrade it. Thanks for the suggestion!

I just ordered a 20 inch KC amber light to mount behind my rear window as my chase light. When it’s dusty you don’t want someone to rearrange you on the trail!

I know this is a old post but changing the diff cover is really easy, not worth making a video IMO, just take the diff cover bolts off, drain the oil, clean the diff cover area surface where the bolts go real good then put your new diff cover on and add oil. I did this in my garage but I used the AFE diff cover that has a o-ring seal around he whole cover, makes it super easy and you don't have to mess with silicone.
@jb19953 жыл бұрын
Yah I did my differential cover about a year ago. And then I did the AFE rebel exhausted comes out on the passenger side. Then I upgraded my brakes all the way around. And now I’m saving up for the fox 3.0’s all the way around.

@@jb1995 Wow, a reply back from a 2yr old post! Cool!. Yea you can spend some big bucks on your Gen 1 or 2 raptor. I got a 2011 4 door Raptor. I don't even want to add up how much money I have spent on it and it still looks some what stock because I spent my money on things like the AFE DIFF cover, Icon leaf springs, RPG 2" Drop billet drop shackles, AFE transmission pan, larger trans cooler, AFE intake, SCT programmer, SVT bullet upper A-Arms, RPG billet Tie rods, Fox 2" front bump stops, Texas motorsports rebuilt my stock shocks and upgraded them with good internals and Schrader valves and set them to mid perch, New off road front bumper (forgot the name) with 6 KC highlights mounted on it, off road chase rack in the bed with 2 spare tires/jack/ tool box and Is removable so I leave it out unless I go to the dirt. Sorry for all the rambling that's just the stuff I can think off the top of my head......Lots of $$ dumped into my truck and it still looks some what stock. If I was ever to get 3.0 coilovers and $$ was no big deal I world go with a set of custom built King Coilovers or the cheaper route would be the Sway-away-AFE coilovers for 1/2 the cost of a set of Kings...
@Khaled-tx5xj3 жыл бұрын
I’ve got those Coilovers for my 2014 Raptor , I’ve placed the preload to a 2” max ride height . It’s really stiff at the moment , if I reduce the preload to the lowest ride height would that help reduce stiffness ? Or it slightly affects it ?
@MarkJones-sk6vk16 күн бұрын
Mine rides stiff too. I think the shocks need to keep the height but, with lower spring rates. I put a wrench on the rear bypass tubes to lower the compression it helps and it was easy.
