Watch a full tutorial as a 2013 Volkswagen Golf R MK6 will have a Pioneer Amplifier and JL 12" Subwoofer Installed. This Golf R had the factory Dynaudio amplified sound system, so we will be tapping into the factory amp speaker outputs in order to provide signal to the amplifier without use of an aftermarket radio.
This video applies to VW Golf / GTI / Golf R models for years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and some 2014. This video also includes dash trim removal, complete amplifier wiring instructions, complete installation, and testing.

Unfortunately I don't have an R but my 13 gti will benefit regardless, I'll run my RCA wires for my 5 channel Amp on the left passenger side unless i discover a power cable for my fuel pump... if so I may run down the middle like I did my 08.5 jetta wolf

Really helpful I was wondering where the factory amp was and how to tap into it I was wondering if you could do a short video does it interfere with your factory radio to have that 10 inch woofer in the back does it drowned out the base from the front speakers?

Hi! I just installed in my Golf 6 using a LOC. Tapped into rear main speaker. My subwoofers functions correctly when I put the RCA halfway in.. The amp is a GZ with one input and one output channel. Ive tried rotating the input signal to the LOC, also tried 3 sets of RCA's.. Amp is a Ground Zero GZCA 1500 m2. Any suggestions? nice video :)

Tap into rear speaker it’s easier then taking the radio out.

I got a question if you can help. I have added an amp, speaker and got a audison bit ten as I am running the stock rns510 HU. I am getting the whining noise through speaker when I accelerate. I have grounded the amp so not sure what I have missed. is there anything you would recommend I check or do for this same car? the front speakers are tapped into. any other things to ground as well?

What is the lc2i? Is it needed if so what do you hook that up to and if you don’t run that can use just use the base knob from aftermarket amp and control the base for the sub that way?

i did this and it worked but now my traction control is not working anf my steering wheel light is on along with my tire pressure sensors

Idk if this is a relevant comment anymore, but turn your wheels all the way right, then all the way left, when your wheels are back to sitting straight all lights should go off.

Well the same thing happened to me. And all of the lights did end up going off except for my airbag light. It says airbag error everytime I start the car. I've tried unplugging the battery to reset the ecu but that isn't working. It's been three days and it's still on.

Hey man, have a 12 gti. I’ve got everything in place, but I have a scosche LOC, I’m really scared to wire it up to the amp under the seat, the amount of colors aren’t helping lol. Wondering if you could help in any way

@@ProvoBeastAudio I also have the same LOC and the instructions on how install it say to tap into the rear speaker wires, but you tapped into the fronts. Is there any difference? Thanks in advance!

Can you just tap rear speakers for line output converter for just a sub?

depends if you have the dynaudio system or not. With the dynaudio the front and rear speakers put out the same amount of bass but typically you would want to connect to the front set of speakers.
