This is an amazing video. Thank you very much for posting it. I ordered the parts already to do the work myself. With what I save on labor I am buying a scanner that bleeds the ABS and calibrates the linear valve offset. I recommend people to shop on Toyota's website for parts, way cheaper than directly at the dealership. Also, even if you find the same price at different site, go through the checkout process to see how much they charge for shipping. One charged about $80 and the other only $24. First time I am doing a job like this, the most is changing the brake fluid and replacing the brake pads. Here we go! Thanks to you I feel more confident about doing this job myself.

Go for it bro. Even if you can't bleed the system the money you save on labor, you can tow 6 and have them bleed if for you after you install the parts.

@@TheYotaChannel Hey man. I just reinstalled all the way to the brake pedal to then do the Air Bleed. Not sure why but the pedal does not hit the button for the break lights all the way, leavint the break lights on. Any idea of what I missed? I did make sure that the ABS is flush to the wall.

thanks my brother I need the Tip who to refill the brake oil. I think we use the same procedure old system have to remove the air that is in the line Pump It Up Until the air come out

Question, I’m planning to do this at home, can I drive to my local mechanic so he can do the brake bleeding with a scanner? It’s about half a mile awhile? Or the brakes won’t work? Another question, will the brakes lock up on you while driving because of a bad ABS and booster?

The brakes will be very stiff and hard, and yes, you can do it yourself and have the dealer bleed and calibrate. Just make sure you have the correct part number

@@TheYotaChannel the reason I’m replacing the ABS and brake booster because the brakes locked up on me while driving, it happened a few times in different days...maybe like once every 2-3 days of driving, does that sound like a bad ABS and brake booster?

​@tylertran93nsx - It could be a caliper issue. Check which brake pads are stuck. If no ABS alarm then it's caliper.

@@sriss1414 it locks up on its own without touching the brakes, you can be just driving and the brakes locks up with no warning and makes a loud sound.

It's very similar. Remember, you will need a Toyota scan tool to bleed and calibrate afterward. You can have the dealer do the calibration for you after you install to save a few pennies

I replacement part. The issues fixed. However, still abs light on always. I think i meed to reset or calibrate software. I jump line under steering wheel. However, failed to reset. Could you let me know how to reset or calibrate software? Do i have to go only toyota dealershop? The bodyshop scanner can't reset. Please let me know

Hey, you have to change both. The accumulator is the one with the internal leak, but the pump continuously runs (buzzing sound) to maintain pressure inside, and it burns itself out.

Hey, thanks. Yes, only a Toyota scanner will be able to calibrate the abs pump and actuator. If you install the parts yourself, you will need to tow it and then pay for the bleeding and calibration. They would probably charge 200 plus for the bleeding and calibration

Hi, the labor time is 5.0 hours. Depending on the shop rate, it can cost anywhere between 500-800 dollars for the labor.

I been having that buzzing sound for 6 years now today my lights turn on then they go away. When the abs light is on i feel i can still stop but it just feels different. Am the original owner 2012 toyota pruis 202,000 miles. I put my scan tool its giving me a abs C1253 pump motor relay and U0073 control module code comunication. At 130k my dc inverter went bad its was under warranty then 150k my water pump went bad i fix it my self. Then i took my car to the dealership because it would shake loud when i would turn it on in the morning then the sound would go away i knew it was the headgasket but i wanna to be 100 percent sure dealership said it was headgasket $4500. I said am going take it somewhere esle i payed the $ 165 diagnostic fee. I in up taking my car to Tijuana Mexico they fix it for $670 in 5 1/2 hrs. Headgasket went bad at 169k it now has 202,000 miles they did a good job they installed fel pro headgasket and new bolts. What do you recommend me to do, i can still drive it but i just hate that my lights is coming on them it turns off. Is there anything i can do to by pass it because if i take it to dealership its going me a lot of money. I still have the original hybrid battery it dont make sense to fix it at the dealership because i know my hybrid is going go out later on in the future. If i was able to do all the work and then just tow it to dealership and tell them what i did and just want them calibrated bleed the brake system will they will do it? I like your videos bro thanks.

Unfortunately, there is no way of bypassing it. If you choose to do it yourself, the dealership will absolutely calibrate the ABS pump and bleed it for you. Great job, for getting the head gasket done cheaper and correctly.

No, it will be unsafe, and you will have no brakes. Only if you want to save on the labor, then after, you can choose to have it towed to a dealer for them to just bleed and calibrate for you
