We had a 2011 Equinox with the 2.4 litre engine. We loved the car and had literally no issues with it except the oil consumption. I changed the oil every 5000 miles with M1 but it didn't matter. Our local dealer monitored the oil usage at 85,000 miles and determined it was excessive. GM denied our claim because it didn't qualify according to the VIN number. We traded for it a Rav 4. Good video.

Yep, garbage engines. Once this Terrain is done I’m getting a RAV4.

The frame on my 2011 Terrain rusted where the rear trailing arm is connected. Mechanics say it’s a common problem in rust belt states. Many decline to repair the frame.

I have a 2012 GMC Terrain with 94,000 miles on it and just had to replace the timing chains, water pump, idler bearing assembly and the belt! It uses oil about a quart every 1500 miles and I can live with that.

Oil changes are paramount. Once the oil control rings get stuck, your screwed.

had a 2010, at 95K they had to put in a new motor due to oil consumption, then it blew again at 180K... good riddance to these 2.4s.

I have a 2017 Chevy Equinox and they had to replaced the engine in it at a 143,000 miles good the I brought a warrenty with it

Stay away from the 2.4L engine!! Get a RAV4.
