Victor that was an interesting no-nonsense video aimed clearly at the DIY’er who has the tools to do this job. Subscribed as a result as you also explained this and that should the worst happen “and” used anti seize where needed, can you please do one covering replacing the rear trailing arm bushings /arms as this topic often is asked on Lexus forums. Complete arms seems the route to take (so i read)

Hi, the RX450h was not sold in Canada with air suspension, so unfortunately I don’t know the exact type of rear suspension setup it uses.

Thank you! My rx450h is nearing 100k miles, when is it a good time to replace struts and shocks on these cars? I do notice some softness in the rear going over speed bumps. Thanks

In my experience, the front shocks last around 100-150K miles on this vehicle. The rears fail sooner.

On a 2017 RX350 F-Sport with AVS is there a need for any recalibration when replacing with a new AVS shock? If so, how is it done? Can I replace with a non-avs shock as it is much cheaper from Lexus?

There is no recalibration required when replacing the electronically adjustable shocks. Yes, you can install the regular shocks instead, they will physically fit. You may end up with a warning light on the dash though. Try unplugging one of your shock electrical connectors and driving around. If no warning lights are on, you could in theory install the standard shocks, however do it in pairs(left and right), to minimize the effect on ride quality.

What does the FSport connector look like? Is that a different shock absorber for that model?

The shocks on the F-sport have electronically adjustable dampers, so they have a single electrical connector on them you have to unplug, otherwise the job is done the same way.
