2010 Baltimore, MD Wash-in walk around

I walked past (most) everything there was to see at this event. Yes I know I could have spent more time on each machine (sorry) but I wanted to give you a quick look at everything there was to see.

I feel as though I've stumbled into a subculture I never heard about! I'd love to go to one of these,I was always fascinated with appliances,and loved watching the repair guy take our washer apart and fix it. Later on I always fixed whatever was going on with ours, but never though of a collection of those cool old machines!

What a great event. I would like to someday attend one of these events as my dad use to be a repair man for GE/Hotpoint so I did see some of these units growing up. Thanks for the great video.

One of my clients had the 'FLAIRE" oven-range at 1.36 (there's one for sale at the rebuilding center in Portland, Oregon as of 3/3/12) FYI. What is that place? I assumed it was in a basement, but it looked the size of a WAREHOUSE!?! I've never IMAGINED such a huge collection of appliances in my life.

Do all combos, as a rule, spin much slower than even traditional (IE: Non Frigidaire) toploaders? Did any of them have a 500-600 rpm spin cycle or were they all around 200rpm?

What is the brown dryer on it's side at 8.58? That's the exact model and colour of the one I remember as a child.

Those are much better built vs this garbage out there today . Those where built to last ! & last . Back when those where built there’s craftsman ship built in !
