2010 British Supersport Silverstone - First Lap Chaos

Heavy rain wreaks havoc at Silverstone. Graeme Gowland crashes on his own at turn one, then Ian Hutchinson does the same and his bike takes out Pat McDougall and Scot Kelly, while Hutchinson himself gets run over by Chris Martin.
All riders were uninjured except for Ian Hutchinson who has a compound fracture to his left leg.

Poor lad. I saw him at BSB today and the cage he has on. He's having it removed next week,hopefully all is ok. All the best Ian, top guy.

This is madness! This is horrible! Could and should be all and ALL avoidable ! It sickened me to know that this is the moment that took literally “the greatest of all the time” life away! dcphotocore I know what you mean but not racing because of rain is silly. It's just a different skill that includes trying very hard to not fall off!
