Leave the manifolds attached to the cat pipe at the flanges and remove them from underneath as a unit.

Backyard Chevy I took mine off as a unit like that, and still had trouble getting the nuts off!

and it was a ls7 z06? maybe I didn't try hard enough I guess lol...I remember it getting stuck between firewall and lower frame area

Backyard Chevy yes, 2009 z06 and i didn't raise the engine either, was years ago but i seem to remember one side pretty much fell out other side had to wiggle

Wish I could have loaned you one of my three 3/8" drive SnapOn air ratchets from tool box #3. Use good 6 point impact swivel socket to prevent rounding off the 6 point nuts & bolts. But, I don't own a corvette, it's all in the wrist. Retired ASE Master Tech.

That was done from the previous owner..they had headers installed and sold it with the original exhaust...so I was basically redoing the header install...they stripped the threads on one stud and stripped the head on one of the nuts.

Yea it sure does save time, for my videos i try to use regular hand tools though, when im not recording i do use my air ratchets and impacts to save time.
