I love the sound of the 5.4 (totally not being biased) but I prefer the 3.73 gearing. I think this has 3.31.

Just bought one for 100 cash runs and drives and is still inspected, only rust is inside the doors, close to 300k miles and sounds good I think I made out!

Oh my god, this Ford Expedition 5.4L V8 hits 0-60 mph in 8.81 sec with a 300HP but my 2010 Ford Explorer 4L V6 hits 0-60 sec in 8.57 sec with a 212 HP. Some car's engines are just so great.

3v 5.4 is a beast, but its very sensitive to maintenance. While being a pita, if you do everything right they'll last a really long time

Take care of them and they’ll last just long as some other pretty reliable engines. I have 226k on mines and the only thing I have ever had to do was change a starter flywheel. 3v only get a bad rep because a lot of people don’t take care of them.
