2010 Ford F 150 Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor Repair

I just experienced this exact issue this week on my 2010 F150 Supercrew FX4. Frayed wire too, and most likely a rodent caused it due to the cooler temperature. Thanks for the accurate insight. Very Helpful.

I can give you a little more insight that I didn't include in the video. On putting the intake back on, I was faced with yet another issue. Hard brake pedal (no brakes) and "Check Brake System" warning on the dash. Talk about frustrating. It was the small 1 1/2 inch rubber vacuum hose at the back of the intake going to the brake booster that was virtually impossible to put back on. I must have taken the intake off and put it back on ten times before I got smart. I ordered a twelve inch piece of 11/32 vacuum hose off Amazon (I only used about six inches of it) and put hose clamps on both ends. The hose stayed on that time and the truck is doing perfect, no lights, plenty of brakes and plenty of heat and a/c. Using a longer piece of vacuum hose (do NOT use regular or gas hose, it will collapse) allowed me to put it back on, then sit the intake in place and put the bolts back in.

To keep chipmunks from getting into my engine, I installed hardware cloth and wiremesh behind the grille and in the plenum with the windshield wiper motor.

I just did this on a 2011 5.0 ltr..... ain't easy....but passenger side rear head....it can be done

Did u have code p0119? If so put the in title or description. Thats the code i have and i have changed that sensor. So now feeling back this morning to rear wire and i can feel and kinda see a frayed wire. But not fully disconnected like yours. So hopefully i dont have to replace the harness and can fix it like u did. I will try to go a cheaper route by finding the 2 harness connectors and re wire myself. If not just buy it. What a pain in ykw this is. I sure as hell hope this is my fix.

Mine has a P0119 code also. Was that the problem? Did you fix it?
