2010 Lexus LS460l Front Air Strut Replacement

I was able to remove the strut by just taking off the three nuts at the top and the one nut at the bottom of the strut, by pulling down slightly on the wheel assembly. No ball joints or arms removed. Did this with just a floor jack in one hour. Also, use the little plastic holding device at the air line to the strut to push the tabs in and remove the air line. See the Arnott video. Note the AWD strut is easier to remove than the fwd strut.

Yeap I did the same thing on my 2010 Ls 460 this video you removed way to much ..you literally have to remove one bolt that’s not connected to the struts n it comes out.. I did the entire strut on the passenger side in 45 min

About to do this soon on my AWD. Thats what i was wondering, you just push that plastic clip in super hard to remove the line? And i shouldnt have to remove the ball joint?

Thanks for nice video, which brand of struts you use for your Lexus and how are they performing after 1 year of use ,I removed my air suspension and installed strutmasters kit which is totally useless and I wanted to install air suspension again, thanks in advance for advice

The strut came with 2 orings, plastic plate and a plastic clamp with tabs, i realized it after i put the strut back in place. Can i insert them in the hose and snap them inside of the air line? Or i need to put them first in the air line? On your video shows that everything is in place already. Just didnt want to remove it again😂 Thank you

You should be able to just remove the line while the strut is installed.

My suspension came with no alignment marks to tell me how to position the upper part correctly . Can you explain how to put it correctly ? There are 3 possibilities so i cannot just guess it

No. The most was clear all codes and let it rise on its own.

This was a customer supplied part so unsure where they got it but Arnott is a good brand.

The sensor has two metal tabs...or it should..you have to turn it first, then remove. If you pulled it straight out you are either missing the tabs or you may have damage yours. The suspension damping can't adjust with any accuracy without those tabs.

When installing the sensors for regulating the stiffness of the cylinders, it is not said that they need to be set at 40 degrees relative to the axis, and also that they are fixed when the sensor is turned.
