I second that! Well worth the money, as well as the premium channel. I have no schooling, have been on the job for 5yrs, was okay at diagnostics before purchasing the book and subscribing to scannerdanner premium, but within the last few months my knowledge has grown tremendously and I now have ase certified techs asking me electrical/troubleshooting questions pretty much regularly. Not saying I know everything or that I'm the best or anything like that, just trying to give a testimonial that these things are well worth investing into and will help you perfect your craft.

William tanner, you just explained my situation in terms of where im at with my career. I left a diagnostic shop to go to a lazy front end/tire chain store, worst mistake ive done. Im in the middle of making the transition to diagnostics, ive been watching Danners videos for ONE day. I swear i have made more of a connection with electric theory now more than my past 5 years as a tech. Im getting that fkn book. Just, wow. Thanks scanner danner.

I've been getting many f150 trucks in for no crank no start no comm. Your method of testing for 5 volt reference is priceless. The owner has a few locksmiths and small shops check it out. After consulting with them not 1 person said they checked powers and grounds or for a 5 volt reference. Everyone said it's the pcm. The pcm is talking to several sensors so I ruled that out. Ruled out fuses and relays and ended up finding bad grounds. Many years ago I asked you about a 98 Chevy express van fuel issue and you steered me to the problem. I wish all my friends would stop calling me to beat my brain up with questions but somehow I always fix everything I touch. I'm a collision repair shop but hey money is money there days. It got to where I have to keep my doors locked and my phone off. Lol. I can't thank you enough Paul.

When I started my 2 year automotive program, I quite my job and opened a mobile mechanic business to help me get through school. I have used your knowledge along with my teachers at Wenatchee valley college to build my business from the ground up. Thanks for your patience and for staying with me my friends. While I am teaching I cannot produce the same amount of content. I could if I wasn't so picky on how I film and edit things now :-). Watching my early videos is painful. The content has always been good, but the camera work and editing has not. Anyway, this current class runs until the end of May, look for more consistent uploads for June and July. Also, don't forget about ScannerDanner Premium on my website! There are currently around 350 videos with 200 of them recorded lectures from my class at Rosedale tech. The other 150 videos are exclusive case studies with the month of April getting 3 new uploads: 1. "2008 Ford F150 4.2L Waste Spark Ignition, No Spark From One Coil" 2. "2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L No Crank Troubleshooting (multiple CAN system faults)" 3. "Honda Power Window Circuit Operation and Testing (multiplex control units and switches)" Last thing, behind the scenes my web developer and I are constantly working to improve the website and in particular ScannerDanner Premium. You guys have been asking for a dated video list like KZbin uses, and we are working on this as we speak. I've had over 50 new uploads since moving ScannerDanner Premium to the website and some of you are having difficulty locating them once I put them into a playlist. So this new dated list is going to help with this a lot. Thanks again to all of you for helping me make this possible!

Great video man I can’t thank you enough. After putting a transmission in a 05 mazda 3 I picked up for 200.00 I had one flawless day with it and then this happened. For a few days now I’ve been battling with it. Knowing nothing about relays and ground switched circuits I had no idea what it was going to take or if it was even possible to get this car going again. I was able to learn a lot from your video and in a few shorts I had the car running again. Thank you again!

Mr. Danner, I wonder if you truly have an idea of the (global) value of these videos you post. This Mazda 3 for example, is one of those Japanese killers that likely would not have gone to auction in my neck-o'-the-woods but probably to five or six mechanics with the owner cursing each of them (usually behind their backs - but not always!). I can only urge every viewer to support your channels in whatever is affordable to them. You are a God-send - selflessly sharing your knowledge and skills with the rest of us.

Notice what a great arrangement Mr. Danner and garage owner Pete have? The latter appears to have more than enough spanner work on his hands and is happy to pass the auto-electrical along to his friend.

But today with these high tech automobiles those techniciands that can master using scanners electrical schematics and learning how to read them CORRECTLY... thats where the $$$$ is.In the 80"s 1985/ 86. I was working for Audi. Lucas Lighting did the electrical harnesses for Audi. Paul talking about a devastating migraine. Continue the great videos dan. God has given you great knowledge as well as field experience. Am an ASE Masterr Tech. For 40 years. Had to stop working 8 yrs ago du to dissability. Sold all my tools and scanners.you keep that dream still alive in your videos and i appreciate you greatly. There are alot of honest technicians out there that are very knowlevdgaeable but theres also alot of parts changers that will still your money charging you hours of diagnosis because they dont know what they are doing. Am lucky i have my bestest loyal frind that helps me in my car issues. I really dont trust some techs in this industry. Thank you so much paul. May god bless you, your family, your students.👍👍👍

Nice study. Your video production is first rate, but you have done a couple in the past with a pencil drawing on the back of a pizza box I thought were fantastic! Would like to see the "Leafs" win one Stanley Cup in my lifetime though. 🤞

Excellent video. You sir are very good at what you do. I like the fact that you do not forget the basics and that's what the great teachers do, they hammer home the basics. You are very logical and you use a lot of common sense. Common sense is not taught today in our schools. I guess I can't say that because you teach common sense. Thank you for being an exception to the rule, have a great day Professor.

Man I've been binge watching your videos and I've gotta say, I get a weird high when you go through the process of diagnosing and confidently state that it should turn after an intervention. Almost like I'm there working working on the car aswell 😂 Keep up the good work, I like your style of diagnosing because I dread spending on unnecessary spending for parts

cant believe there's 5 thumbs down This is great demonstration of relays. Had a generator with three sequencial safty relays throw me for a heck of a loop one WEEKEND😅 Start switch would close the control circute, once closed power would back feed all three relay control circutes but if any of the safety switches lost ground the circute would open on all three relays. Drove me crazy and found falty oil pressure switch. Leaned how relays can back feed once closed to stay closed till lose of ground and be hooked in series at the same time.

I have to give thanks. I have a Pontiac g3. It was tweaking out, shifting funny and had now acceleration. It pulled a U0100 code. After watching your video I decided to inspect the bottom half of the fuse box. there was a smoking gun. Someone spliced a wire with a odd ball compression barrel connector. I cut it all out and soldered everything. just like that It's back to normal.
