Mr. Baghdad mercury was a great luxury alternative of Lincoln as it was cheaper and still luxury. I hate that Ford ended the Mercury lineup as soon as the cars started to look very nice!

Mercury had this same version of the chime too? I had always thought that chime was only featured in the Ford lineup. You learn something new every day. Don’t you? 😅

they should of kept it. those are way more reliable than most cars on the road. my 07 has well over 240k on it.. it never skipped a beat

WRB I wouldn’t say that every Mercury looked better than the Ford lineup. But I do have to say, I do prefer the styling of the Mercury Grand Marquis better than the Ford Crown Victoria and I also do prefer the styling of BOTH this Mercury Mariner (2008-11) and the 2013-present Ford Escape better than the 2008-12 Ford Escape. And I do agree that it’s disappointing that Ford discontinued Mercury. If Mercury was still around today, I think it would definitely be a more precise and more direct competitor to Buick.
