I agree with Kelly. I have had this problem for 2 years. Cost at dealer: $375. This video is a excellent! Thank you very much for taking the time to make it. I did the job for only $65 and 1 hour and 10 minutes of my time. My car is smoooooooooooooooth. God Bless.

Thank you a million times over. I have a 2011 2.5 escape with the same issue. At first, I was told that my torque converter was in its way out so I took it to Ford. They said trans was ok. Then I came across your video. I will be replacing it. You also broke it down in a way for anyone to be able to follow.

I have a 2015 escape 74k miles same issue only when in drive it shakes but when I’m park nothing runs and drive smooth only when at a red light it shakes

Good vid. The 18m DEEP socket is pretty much mandatory, on my 2005. Slightly different AL bracket design with deep recessed 18mm nuts and no 15mm nut on my 4 cyl.

I replaced all my engine mounts on 2.3 L with dea/marmom and the trans mount seems to produce most of the vibration because right after replacing trans mount all the vibration was gone but only for about one day. So your mileage may vary. I honestly just think the engine is the issue at this point or factory mounts are just not good enough to smooth out engine vibration.

What if it sounds super loud at idle? Can it be the motor mounts?

I recently just replaced all 4 motor mounts but the issue persists. My car has also developed A high-pitched buzz sound (prior to installing the mounts). This noise is only when the engine is under tension(idling while in drive with the brake applied and when it changes gears). I hoped replacing the mounts would solve all my problems but it did not. Any suggestions?

The best way to tell if engine mount is bad just put your hand under that engine mount that you're holding if its popped out and dome shape the rubber part ... your mount is bad Because your mount collapsed you're not always going to see oil leak

I have a 2010 Ford Escape V6. I get that vibration when I step on the throttle. As soon as I let up, the vibration subsides. Would that still be the engine mount?

Hmmm maybe, but its usually vibration at idle, We'll its a cheap and easy fix to try

I just did this repair to my 2009 V6 escape. I waited until 185,000 miles, and it took less than an hour to complete. I used a factory Ford replacement part that costs me $90 with the discount I get at the dealer. Problem solved.

If you're in drive with the brake on sitting still is usually the cause if you're in park with your foot off the break I don't think it's the mount

I wish that you could fix mine. 🥺 I paid 800.00 to change all of my mounts on my little 2011 Ford Escape Xlt truck and when i picked it up, it shook all over. 😢 I asked the guy why my vehicle was doing that when it in fact wasn't doing that before and he acted like it wasn't a problem. My heart is hurt behind this and its been months now since ive been just driving it like that.

Find a new mechanic. Look at yelp reviews on every shop near you.

Check your spark plugs for proper torque because they can vibrate loose and shoot out the engine destroying your coil pack with it. Don't ask me how I know.

Do it all the time. I use a block of wood but as long as you dont put too much pressure on it, it's ok.

If you’re only supporting a minor shift in weight it’s not bad but definitely don’t want to put a lot of load on it.
