Every middle & high school gym class so teach the yungins about the strength of mind of Kobe, being falsely accused of rape, going to court, playing the same night putting up huge numbers, teammates secretly laughing behind his back instead of having his back. He didn't crawl up in ball and hide. Kobe Bryant is a person who knows who he is and who he isn't. America tried to give him the O.J. Simpson treatment but he wasn't having it.

I was Lakers' fan and they were baaaad back then even tho they had a pretty good team, Eddie Jones, Nick van Exel, Divac, Campbell, Cebalos, last Magic's year, but Del was just incompetent. And then, all of a sudden, they got Horry, Fisher, Shaq, Kobe, twas fantastic. You could immediately tell this dude will be something else

@AlimG52 exactly........there were 2 reasons I think why he shot 6-24 1.) like he said his legs were shot, the lakers were winning in teh playoffs w/a 7 man rotation, the normal rotation is 8-9, so he was playing extended minutes all seaon long due to the bench's inconsistency (that won't be a problem this year 2.) I think this was his first attempt in a long to in trying to be MICHAE JORDAN rather than just being KOBE, but once he settled down, he made his customer last quarter push

@bmaga123 haha yes i've heard of a phil jackson. I never heard him say that jordan would average 42 points and shoot 50% against the celtics. Most likely because he never said it. In the 96 finals Jordan was 33 years old. He was dubbed the "master of basketball" but you don't remember this because you weren't watching him play. The three series before the finals he averaged 32.3 pts and shot 48% shooting. pretty good for old guy huh? until he got to the finals where his stats aren't really good

@ridore9 If you watch the replay from the latest Lakers vs. Mav game, you'll notice that KObe walks over to the Dallas bench (right before Fisher hit the game winning three) and he starts whispering something to Lamar. But while they talk, both of them are kind of doing the nose picking motion. Maybe that has something to do with it.

@NudieBarVIP No, he won't. And your reasoning about hand-checking is why. Jordan scored more and did more when it was harder on the offensive players because the defense could smother them. Jordan in this era would be averaging even more points than he did in his time. Also, 6 trips to the final, 6 finals MVP, nuff said.
