For $400.00 + you think they could give you all factory fittings instead of those hose clamps

What is the pressure drop on this system? The seals of the engine can be harmed when installing a catch can. Make sure the pressure remains relatively the same when installing any of them.

This catch can keeps giving me pcv codes everything was installed correctly lines all ram perfectly
@mikeramsey97474 жыл бұрын
That is actually a cleaner installation than many of the other catch can systems that I have seen.

Is the sensor supposed to be installed in the opposite direction like in the manufactures Mishimoto install video??

Don’t use a knife. Heat gun works much better zero damage to o rings and can be done much faster

I installed this product into my 15 f150 3.5L with the turbos. I’m getting the P04DB code for the censor disconnect. I followed the tutorial to the T and then some. I’ve read it doesn’t damage the engine but I’m not a fan of having my engine light looking at me. I installed this to improve the truck not complicate things

Hey, Zach! I'd recommend getting in touch with Mishimoto's customer service team to help troubleshoot! You can find their number below. -Zach 1-877-466-4744

Do you have to disconnect the battery for engine to relearn ?

Did you end up figuring this out with mishimoto?
@zachgallup85452 жыл бұрын
I figured it out but it was worthless cause a year later my engine is fried and I’m now having to look at buying a new engine or a new truck. Not a fan of spending 300+ dollars and the engine still failed at 129K. I’d like a refund at this point.

@@zachgallup8545 what failed exactly? I doubt the catch can caused the engine failing...

I want one of these for my 5.0!! Install looks pretty easy.

I installed those in my truck and after one week my truck fails the O2 censors and check the can it was full of ice. 😭 not good for northern county

I'm sure these are helpful, but the only thing an ecoboost doesn't need is more hoses under the hood

Is the CCV the driver's side and the PCV the passenger side? Just want to cover both sides and I don't know if this product does that.

He forgot to mention some type of step stool to get to the engine. No shade I'm 6'3 I even need one lol

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think the sensor is installed backwards in this video. I installed mine with Mishimoto’s video and they flip the sensor around the other way. Just a heads up 👍🏼

@roberthernandez70432 жыл бұрын
@@boxerboi187 I haven’t had any issues with the way I installed mine. It’s been great and it’s crazy how much blow by gets filtered through the catch can

I have 171,000 miles on my 3.5 ecoboost, is it to late to install a catch can? $400 is a large investment if damage has already been done, if any at all.

If you plan on getting the intake manifolds looked at and cleaned, adding a catch can like this would absolutely benefit you in keeping the engine clean and prolonging its life! -Zach

Can someone who knows tell me what benefit there is to slotted hose clamps? Why not just Phillips? Or square or torx anything but slotted God I've slipped off so many and poked myself

I just bought my wife a 2020 3.5 eco expedition max, looking for catch cans and most everything says it for 2020 F150, I have a 5.4l 3v but was wondering if any 2020 3.5l catch can would work ? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

If this was a real problem, don't you think Ford would know about it and address it?
@coltonmilne13714 жыл бұрын
Ford changed the 2017 3.5 eco boost to dual injection to combat it moving forward. They also have their own motorcraft air oil separator for this, although I believe it’s marketed for the mustang.

Welcome to the world of constant P04DB codes with that rat's nest of hoses🤣 A can on intake side of pcv is useless as the airflow goes back into the crankcase anyways only to be sucked out the other cover🤷. Pcv vs ccv?? c'mon these systems are no different flow wise than a motor from the 1960's just this has a sensor, drivers side is pcv intake, pass side is pvc exhaust
