Every video I’ve done seen skips the part where you put the steering wheel back correctly… why? That’s the most important part

Cause he never removed the shaft

34:32 Completely skipped the part I needed. Putting the steering column assembly back on. Everything else wasn't so bad but putting that thing back on is a hassle.

If you can remove the bolt that is behind it don’t remove it

You seem to be struggling to remove a few screws. This video is going to be much longer than it needs to be.

I have a wire hanging down and I need to know if this is why my eps light is on and steering is hard to turn. If so I'm not sure where it goes to. I can't add a pic on here. I need help

The EPS light on the dash of a Hyundai Elantra means that there was a fault detected with the electronic power steering system in Your car. Your vehicle uses an electric motor to aid in steering compared to the old hydraulic systems that were used in the past. When Your ECU finds that there is a problem with the power steering motor it will turn this light on at the dash. You will want to have Your vehicle inspected by a mechanic or a Hyundai dealership to see what the cause of the problem is. Frequently it can be something as simple as a fuse or a loose wire, but it could also be a power steering motor failure. You will also usually notice Your steering feels heavier when it is not working properly try to find where the wire goes and inspect all wires from steering column take your time doing so

I’m having issues with putting the steering shaft back in. When I lift it up to put in the back slot for the back bolt, it makes the front 2 nut brackets are not aligned. In fact they are off facing to the side and it’s not able to turn. Is this an alignment issue with the first half of the shaft and the second half? Should I separate the 1st half of the shaft from the 2nd half and try and turn it?
@fixitquick Жыл бұрын
@robbieg.3462 Make sure that the two rear hooks on the top of column steer enter first if they do not enter they will never align with the screw holes
@robbieg.3462 Жыл бұрын
@@fixitquick finally got everything put back together. But my steering wheel is completely crooked sideways afterwards. Will just an alignment fix this?
@fixitquick Жыл бұрын
@@robbieg.3462 I'm not sure if they can fix it, you disconnected the column below or just the steering wheel bolts.?
