Thank you for your honesty, it speaks volumes about your personal values. I love the fact that you don’t take yourself too seriously. I don’t really feel confident about removing the dashboard, but at least I know it is complicated and to take lots of pictures. Cheers mate

@WalterSikut thank you for watching. I couldn’t find a video out there so I tried to make my own. I was like 16 or 17 when I made it so I apologize the bad quality and may be cussing.😂

Here are a few things that you missed that might help others. 1. You don't have to mess with the center console at all. Only thing I did was disengage the shifter. Block the wheels when you take it out of gear or put on the parking brake. Don't ask me how I know this is bad. As long as you remove all of the screws below the radio, the vertical brackets that get in the way can be moved to the side enough to clear the lowest center portion of the dash. 2. Next there is another connector.in addition to the two speakers and air bag there is a light sensor. It is at the front most portion of the dash where where the windshield meets the hood. This sensor can be disconnected prior to taking out the dash. The cover for the sensor pivots up exposing the connection. Getting it fed back up to connect again was difficult. I ended up putting painter's tape around it to give me something to grab and then pulled it through and snapped it into the plastic cover. Then snapped the cover in place. 3. The glove box connectors only go in one way. There is an extra notch on one side that matches it's mating side. Make sure the glove box is pushed up far enough and they go in easy and then can be rotated 90 degrees. 4. If you are swapping out the air bag you only have to remove the outer two screws. The entire assembly then rotates out if you pull out the plastic surround where it snaps up into place. In-spite of these few things, you have the best video out there to date. I thought about re-making yours's but it is still pretty good. I subscribed to your channel please subscribe to mine.

Thank you for the comment. I was 16 when I made this video so it’s not the most professional video out there but I thought I’d share the info since I couldn’t find a video on it myself.

If I want to simply replace the dashboard where's it's cracking, I have to remove all that? Radio glove box cluster etc etc?

I love your content, i do have a Hyundai sonata 2.4 2012. I have noticed 2 small hair line cracks is the anyway to fix it?

There are like different type of cements, glues, and other products, but it will never restore it to original condition. Once it gets bad, I would just put in a new dash. They’re cheap if you go to a junkyard.

Haha appreciate, I was like 17 when I make this video because I couldn’t find one online. Went through trial and error to get it off.

my top part only is splitting from heat. is there a way to only remove that portion and replace with a used dash that is not cracked? Instead of having to disassemble the entire thing as in the video?
@howtoamerica Жыл бұрын
It’s all one giant piece. You can buy like carper covers and cover it up but if you want the dash looking new I would replace the whole thing.

How did you rotate the plastic connector in the a-pillar cover.
@howtoamerica2 жыл бұрын
I used some long nose pliers. Putting it back was the most difficult part.
@fairbornCCF2 жыл бұрын
@@howtoamerica Ok, thank you. I had a terrible time getting a grip on it and it did not seem to rotate on mine. I ended up just popping it straight out. The other end is similar to all of the other snap connectors on the dash. Thanks for doing the video it did help a bunch.

What is that little crowbar shaped tool you used to take off the plastic called?
@youngslugga561 Жыл бұрын
A trim tool
@howtoamerica Жыл бұрын
It’s a plastic trim tool to not scratch the plastics. You can use anything that can give you leverage tho.

Thanks! My 2011 sonata limited push to start says key not detected. I can lock and unlock the car with the inside power locks but the radio does not come on. The car battery is good and the fob battery is good. What could be the problem? Hey. The one thousand year reign of Judge Jesus is in this earth, not heaven. The post tribulation pre wrath of the Lamb rapture is correct. After the great tribulation, Christ Jesus shall return. Acts 15 is proof that you must believe on the Lord Jesus to circumcised in the heart and after that, in the flesh if you are a male. Verse 21 shows that Moses (first five books of the KJB) was read every seventh day sabbath. Every Christian male must be circumcised in the heart, and in the flesh to enter the sanctuary of the Lord Jesus. You are not circumcised to be saved by King Jesus. But because King Jesus has circumcised your heart, your flesh foreskin is circumcised after if you are a Christian male. Peace to you. Love others as the Lord Jesus has loved you. Repent of your deeds and forgive others. The king James Bible is the King Jesus Bible, which is God manifest in a book. If you are saved by the Lord Jesus, you can be destroyed for unbelief and continual evil works like the king James Bible clearly teaches in the book of Jude and elsewhere. Calvinism is a doctrine of devils, and John Calvin, a sundaykeeper, is likely down in hell screaming up at us. He that endures to the end shall be saved. If osas is true, why are there former "Christians"? Jesus is the author of eternal salvation to them that obey him. Hebrews 5:9. Do you have a wooden cross at your church? If you do, that is a form of idolatry. Do you use names like yahweh, elohim, adonai, hallelujah, etc? You need to repent of blasphemy and use the names in the King Jesus Bible. The cross we are to carry daily is spiritual, not physical. He will not give eternal salvation to those that continually and willfully disobey him by keeping sunday, which Hindus and other heathen use to worship their devils. The Lord Jesus, the Gentiles, and the apostles kept the new moons, holy days, and sabbaths. In the new earth, the saints shall worship God in his new moons and sabbaths. Christmas, Easter, and going to church on sundays are lying vanities that will send you to hellfire. Eternity is in the new earth, not heaven. Have a good month, and God bless you!
