2011-2015 Cruze LS 1.8 ATF drain and fill/Oil change. Automatic transmission fluid drain and fill.

Quick video going over an ATF drain and fill and a simple oil change on a 2012 Chevy Cruze LS Automatic with a 1.8 engine.

Mine is same car like yours but 2014 year. when I drain it came out 5 litre.. I fill about 5.5 litre ran the car in all gears, temperature was about 88C and then I open the 11mm drain bolt and seap out about 200 or 300ml then I tighten the drain bolt. Yours seems to be short on 3.5ltrs. Try using the drain bolt method and see if takes more oil in it.

My 2012 Cruze 1.8 ( 25k) needed 4 quarts, 12 ounces. But I let it drain for several hours. Maintenance is key & measure how much removed to get close.

is there any filter that is serviceable for the ATF Fluid or is it just the fluid change? Thanks

There is no serviceable filter on these.

@@DIYAUTOCAR The transmission filter, on these vehicles, is inside the transmission itself; it will take approximately 10 ~ 12 hrs to change it. That's why the oil service intervals are shorter than the ones with serviceable filters. CVTs transmissions, get burnt often because owners are not inform that the oil service in their transmission is between 20 ~ 30k miles depending on the vehicle; it varies. In addition of folks getting confused and grabbing the wrong oil to add, instead of CVT Oil Only.

There is a check hole behind the driver's tire, 11m bolt. While running add until it seeps out said hole.

It has been fine. I've changed it a total of 3 times since owning the car. I still don't like how it shifts but it has been ok. They are weak transmissions so I take it easy on it since it's just a mpg car for me.
