2011-2016 Ford Super Duty, OCR Activation, DPF Soot Percentage.

Using Forscan software & OBD cable;

Enable the feature to Display your OCR and see the DPF Soot level and Activate Static Regen when needed.
This procedure is for 2011-2016 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and up Super Duty 6.7 Diesel Power Stroke.
This will work with the Large Display’s Splash screen LCD.
This will help monitor your DPF filter and ensure longevity. It will also give you the ability to Start a static Regen when the filter is full, normally sometimes only a dealership can do.

Thanks for putting this up. Just got a 2016 F450 basic work truck, I mean XL to the lowest dimension. : ) 184,000 miles. Drove about 50-60 miles from internet auction. I noticed at some point scrolling through the menu, "Exhaust Filter 60% full" Then to my horror, I saw the number climbing to 65, 70, 75% about every 9-10 miles it was increasing! I'm thinking ARE YOU KIDDING ME !! I will be stranded possibly. Got the truck to a safe location at 85% full. Hope I can do a regen without a specialized scan set up. Or am worrying about nothing? Is this common on these? Surely not. Maybe something to do with the mileage It is a dump truck and probably not a lot of continuous highway sustained heat to the DPF. Wondering if it will engage in a regen as I go down the road, or what will happen in 15 miles or so when it decides it's 'Full." Yikes . . .

Is there a general mileage range that a regen becomes necessary? I know depends on how much sustained heat put into the DPF of course, but see my scenario below. Outrageous. Obviously something wrong, Batman. Time to get back to the Bat Cave.

What you are seeing is Completely Normal. Once it becomes 100% full, keep driving @ moderate speed it will go into “Filter Cleaning”. You will see percentage go down gradually to 0%…

The manual regen can only be performed via the standard cluster display, and not the colored LCD display like that. I am also trying to figure out how to enable that screen on my truck, was that all you did and it came up? Mines a 2015, what year is yours?

My Truck is 2014 F450 Lariat. The option I Enabled here is called “Force Regeneration Request”. which means that once a soot level reaches a criteria, it will send you a prompt if you want to perform a forced Regen or static Regen. Yes that’s all I did, Cycle the key it will prompt you, then the same screen where you see your engine trans running temperature will have another slide next to it.

Worked on my 2016 F450. I was able to do a forced regen at 48%.

If I enable this feature, will the truck still regen on its own automatically or will I have to initiate the regen every time?

I have a 2016 f350 6.7 Need to do a forced Regen and can not from the dash. I take it I can set this feature with the tool and a laptop? I also want some basic gauge cluster to give me real time monitoring Thanks

@@ronfox9842 It will still automatically do it, but when you see 95% you should keep driving till it’s back down to 0%. And this is the key to make your system last forever. Most of the problems arise when you are driving around with 100% and the truck needs to regenerate.
