VLog 10 - Ford Custom Enable DPF% in the menu via ForScan

For you to enable the DPF% display on your Ford Custom Euro 6, you will need the extended licence of FORScan, which is available for 2 months free of charger and a FORScan cable (the one I use is £21.90 from Amazon). Links for both are below. Something I forgot to mention in the video is that the option once enabled is found in the menu - information section (under AdBlue option).

Values that you need are as follows:
Enable DPF % in Menu:
IPC Module configuration (AS BUILT format)
720-07-02
My original value: x0xx xxxx (you will change the value in the 1st column, 2nd position).
My change: x8xx xxxx
If your original default is 0, change to 8; if 1, it changes to 9; if 2 then A; if 3 then B; if 4 then C; if 5 then D; if 6 then E, if 7 then F.
Activate Manual Regeneration:
PCM Module configuration (AS BUILT format)
7E0-03-01
My original value: x1xx xxxx xxxx
My change: x2xx xxxx xxxx
2 = Activates manual regeneration 3 = Activates manual regeneration and stops automatic regen
This can also be changed using the drop down menu when selecting just the PCM Module Configuration as per the video.

On the current version of Forscan (2.3.59) you can set the 'DPF% in Menu' option in the 'friendly' configuration for the IPC Module - just set 'Description: Diesel Exhaust Filter Load Percentage' to enabled. Little bit easier than the as-built setting...

i don't find this option in the latest 2.3.60 (Kuga MK3 2022)

clear tutorial ! great ! I've changed parameters in order to get the 'dark mode' activated on my 2019 model, and went through the same 'write, cycle on/off' as you did in the vid, but no changes on the vehicle take place. still lit like a christmas tree when i open a door, even though all the parameters in forscan have changed.. any ideas?

Great video! Could you explain my DPF values as I have %40 DPF LOAD AND %180 DPF SOOT LOAD, is this considered blocked as I am getting P244C and can't do static regen because of low temperature. Do I need to reset the Exhaust gas temperature Learned Values? Thanks

Hi, Thanks for that, I can now see the % dpf blocked in my menu. I've also enabled option for manual regen but I dont know how to actually do the manual regen? I presume the option is in the menu somewhere?

When you are in the % menu the option to regenerate will come up when vehicle stationary and engine running but think you need 80%+ to do the regen.

@@Garethdp1 will be interested to see how often yours regens - is it a Euro 6? Mine seems to do it every 100 miles or so but I’m not convinced the auto regen does it properly as never gets to 0%. Did a manual regen yesterday which took it down to 0% and will see what happens.

Sorry, can I ask why you are changing this? Is it that your van's dpf isnt regenning?

I enabled the option so that I could see that regen’s were happening as I wasn’t initially sure that they were. I could have added the LED mod to the heated windscreen as that comes on when a regen takes place but thought this was easier.

In regards to speed limit I’m not sure but a quick Google offers this suggestion: Change the speed limiter menu option (not as built) in the PCM Change the speed limiter menu option in BCMii. I believe you can only do a static regen when the % is quite high. Off the top of my head, I think I can do it when DPF is above 70% but I might be wrong. You can only do a static regen when stationary. I just let me automatically regen as and when it needs to.
