@Totallyamaha3 жыл бұрын
Not sure if they even sell them any more.. you would have to search on Ebay.
Great video. I enjoyed doing both mine only takes an hour. How often do most people bother doing the oil filter?? Manual says 20000kms I dunno that seems like a lot but 5000kms or every couple years does not seem too bad. Thanks for the tip on the screen and the block drain. I find when doing this on my two apex the correct amount of oil is 3.2litres
@Totallyamaha3 жыл бұрын
I will usually change filter and oil each season unless Its less then 1500 miles. Since we run full synthetic its not even starting to break down at that point since its a dry sump system. Just my thoughts but each person seems to have other ideas on why is right..

Great video. Just wondering how farndo you push the boot over the throttle body? Mine only goes over millimeters... I feel they need to go on further.
@Totallyamaha4 жыл бұрын
It needs to push on at least 1/4 “if it don’t then you are doing something wrong or the boots are bad.

@@Totallyamaha ok thanks. Yes something must be wrong. I can't push the airbox down far enough to get the correct angle to make the boots go 1/4". Crapppppp

ill second that dude,awesome vid,just one thing,you forgot to hook up a vacuum line at bottom of air filter box,thanks again!!!! if your neighbours got it, you need it!!!!!!over.
@Totallyamaha4 жыл бұрын
There is no vacuum line on a Apex airbox. That’s a drain and does not need to be hooked up. Some are missing or have fallen down. The only lines hooked to the box are crank case vents.

@Totallyamaha3 жыл бұрын
You don’t have to pull the airbox and battery. The oil filter can be accessed from under the belly pan toward the back.

Hopefully you can give me some tips. I have a 2001 Yamaha SXR 600 Triple. Where did you order your oil from. I need to change my oil. Don't really know how to do that either
@Totallyamaha3 жыл бұрын
thats a 2 stroke, you dont change the oil.. you add it for the fuel mix. Its oil injected and can be added to the fill tank under the hood. You want Yamalube 2S.
@BengalsFootball93 жыл бұрын
@@Totallyamaha even better I guess. Less work. Lol. I'm new to the scene. Unfortunately I had to put diff 2 Stroke oil in it because it was empty and my only way to get it to my house was riding it there. So is there a proper way to add this yamalube without mixing the oils?
