A good alternative to the BRZ and FR-S if you want less road and wind noise and a bigger back seat. Even if you can't find the rare manual, the automatic isn't nearly the penalty you'd think it would be (unlike the twins). Another great thing about the 1-Series-- it's a coupe where you can actually see over your left shoulder, which is rare for the last 15 years.

Actually they're useless, unless you have toddlers. Other than that I plan on deleting my back seat out of my 128i. Besides I have an Subaru Impreza hatchback if I'm traveling with friends.

I just bought a 2008 128 6MT w coil overs and m3 sway bars. Unreal awesome! I also own a 2008 M3 and I actually prefer the 128 because I’m not going 200kph between turns on the canyon roads and I can actually row through some gears. On the track though, I still prefer the M ;)

I did the opposite way, shopping for miata and got a 2009 128M sport with no option at all(no sunroof, no keyless entry...) 2 yrs ago at a very good price(cad$6000) . Couldn't be happier.

@@خطاببنخالدif you plan on modding them, or pushing them in any way, a good rule of thumb is having twice the price of the car in savings for repairs. They’re great if you take car of them.

@@windingroadmagazine They really are super zippy, handle well, sound amazing, get decent MPG, and are surprisingly practical! I got mine CPO 9 years ago and it’s still solid and reliable. I’m planning to upgrade to a GR Corolla next, but in case that doesn’t pan out, it’s gonna be really hard to decide what to replace this with since it’s such a good package.
