Lovely sound, couldn't decide for my next one but the N55 paired with DKG is just perfect. Great video, editing and sound on point. As a lifetime BMW fan and owner of an E93 M3 DKG, send you cheers from Canada 👍 sorry for bad English

Wasnt bad at all man! And thank you, im in the process of getting another mic, to get turbo noises synced with the exhaust and adjust the levels so it sounds better. Ill make more soon! Cheers brother!
@alvernhem10 ай бұрын
@@gewdiesLooking forward for that mic update, I tried to record my rollings with a Zoom H1N and couldn't get a satisfying clear / non saturated / low wind compromise. If you plan on buying this one be aware that it is very sensitive and prone to wind noise and tyre sound even with a complete foam around it taped on the rear bumper. That being said it is still a great crystal clear for ambient and distant fly-by records since it is very sensitive, but for on-car exhaust / windy situations, not the best. I have seen a guy in England doing an under hood induction audio record with a microphone, sounded awesome if you want to check it up I'll post the link below

@@alvernhem for wind noise reduction the best option is a “deadcat” just the regular black foam doesnt reduce it much.

Tell me what is the purpose of removing the decat and having a catless exhaust for the car and downpipe is it for sound aswell

Besides the catless downpipe, what’s the rest of exhaust? I have a 2015 335i. With vrsf catless downpipe, turners Motorsport resonator delete and stock exhaust and it sounds ok. Are you we with mhd?
@gewdies8 ай бұрын
Yeah, im running MHD stage 2+ with VRSF FMIC, CTS Catless dp, chargepipe and only catless dp for the exhaust, everything else is stock. Im gonna be doing an exhaust cutout, see how that sounds and maybe resonator delete. In this video it was just catless dp, MHD Stage 2.
@kaMikaze-fe4wy2 ай бұрын
@@gewdieshey bro, did you do res delete? I’m planning on doing it, I have vrsf catted downpipe, charge pipe and intercooler but it’s still quite, that’s why I’m thinking about doing the res
@gewdies2 ай бұрын
@ yeah i did a few months ago, it get a bit louder and a little drone in low RPMs, my favorite part is the shift with the dct make a nice pop when shifting. I think manual transmission does it too
@dimitrirobertson8935 ай бұрын
Also I've noticed you got a loud roar when you stood still and revved it up but tell me to what level did you tune the burbles response to when you downshift is it and default setting example 0.5 or 0.6 because I'm curious to know or is is just tuned with MHD software and then you get the actually sound when you installed a catless down pipe or do you need to do some tuning to get the car to roar and grown like when you pull of and downshift it sounds amazing I'm sitting in South Africa and also want that deep roaring sound to it without needing to activate pop and bang like your car sounds what do I really do
@gewdies5 ай бұрын
The catless downpipe will for sure get alot more sound out of the car and natural burbles, i run mine in OEM with MHD which its the stock one for these cars, i have just adjusted the time to 0.8s i believe now, i want to get more done to the exhaust soon
@dimitrirobertson8935 ай бұрын
Zero point six for the burbles sound, someone has settled his to the Porsche Cayenne 0.6 seconds burbles so do you recommend I do the same setup as yours because I like how the car sneezes when you down gear and it's pure sound..tell if I also do this setup no engine light will come up when I remove the cats do I remove secondary if it have or primary cats
@dimitrirobertson8935 ай бұрын
@@gewdies and the MHD software you running can you run it in stock mode for the vehicle BMW is nice play toyd
@gewdies5 ай бұрын
0.6-0.8 is very similar, i think with what you have already it will still make that “sneeze” sound. With MHD, yes you can run it stock and still change the burble aggressiveness
@gewdies5 ай бұрын
A catless downpipe will require MHD, because MHD offers an option that will turn off the Cat code automatically. So you dint need to worry about a check engine light is downpipe and burble tune is all youre doing. But do keep an eye on your sparkplugs if you run an aggressive burble/pops and bangs, when you have an aggressive burble it burns your sparkplugs quicker

After a year and around 6mo, and driven 25k miles since i purchased, really good. I slowly went FBO (FMIC, downpipe, intake, turbo inlet and outlet, chargepipe), and im running MHD stage 2+, its holding up super well. I hit 100k miles like 2mo ago.
