Bro you literally convinced me I've been watching a lot of 2014 135 LCI facelifts, just before they switched to the 140i badge. I have to say you have inspired so much confidence to follow through, all the models i was hesitant to buy were all under 120000kms. Watching your journey with well over 150 shows me that it's actually not as bad as people make it out to be. Beautiful spec by the way.

Thanks, Awesome bro ✌️ You really should go get yourself one! We only live once. The N55 is one of the most wonderful sounds like music to my ears every time I drive it. I love it so much that I scrapped my original plan to sell it in a few months. God willing I will find a way to keep it around. My car is now on 190k kms and going fairly strong few leaks here and there. But still considering its shitty maintenance history its still going strong!🤞Just because a car is high mileage doesn't make it a bad car. Just make sure the interior looks decent, the car runs fine and most importantly you can get your hands on a well maintained car with proof of work done. Sometimes low mileage cars tend to turn out to be even bigger lemons because most of its life was spent sitting in a garage, German cars need to be driven! If you have the budget get a M235i as that N55 has forged internals means you are even more safe. Good luck mate 👍🏼

Boss, awesome video 😩 If you don’t mind, and we don’t need to get into specifics if that’s your thing, but what’s the range of cash one needs to be prepared to spend pm or pa for a good ownership experience?
@carcrazyguysa4059 Жыл бұрын
Thanks 👍🏼 No problem. My car was high mileage 190k kms on the clock so I got it for cheaper than usual plus it has a lot of issues that need to be rehabed 😆🥵😔 I paid R162k for it. But generally these cars depending on if you're going N54 or N55 will cost anywhere from R120k to R400k dependent on mileage and condition. Only 2014 cars which are around R400k can be financed otherwise anything before that needs to be paid cash outright. If you want to finance rather go for a M135i or M235i or 335i 2014 onwards. You could even get a M240i at R400k. If you finance you looking at between R6k to R10k p/m excl insurance. Insurance is roughly R1k for me but this will depend on your age and risk factor. Fuel is insanely heavy mainly because you always want to floor it. Full tank will last you about 300kms on light driving max about a R1k per tank. But the biggest problem with BMW's is that it's never just about paying a monthly installment, insurance and fuel. Its the maintenance and repair costs each time its a good couple thousand rand every month. Before you buy one of these cars set aside a good amount of money. Theres always stuff breaking and leaking and electronics loosing their minds. Good luck bro hope you get what you want ✌️

What exhaust setup, and how do you flip a switch to get it to pop
@carcrazyguysa4059 Жыл бұрын
Catless downpipe + resonator delete, stock muffler. You can't, unfortunately just flip a switch to get pops and bangs not without JB4 or a tune. My car is running JB4 hence I can switch maps anytime or just switch to sport mode to get pops and bangs ✌️
@sharlfleetwood9234 Жыл бұрын
I have installed a jb4 and no idea how the maps work, no idea how to make pops with it or change to a decent map that runs smoothly, please try teach me
@carcrazyguysa4059 Жыл бұрын
@sharlfleetwood9234 Send me a DM on Instagram car_crazy_guy_sa I will send you the "cheatsheet" of maps basically a guide. If you dont have the JB4 app you need to use your steering controls to switch maps. Basically press volume down & menu down same time, 0 on the speedo & tachometer 0 = Stock map, 1 = Map 1, 2 = Map 2 (if you have downpipes) then Volume down button twice to exit menu and set map. Just be careful though that you are in the right menus when setting something. Watch this its a good guide: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqO5lp9vZdWkiKs

What's the mileage on this I'm looking at getting a F30 335i they all over 100 000KM but with full service history
@carcrazyguysa40592 жыл бұрын
Mileage on my car is at 189 000kms. Its going strong for its age and mileage. Though it has some minor issues like some oil leaks, power steering leaks, mostly typical BMW stuff. If you're able to afford it I would say a 335i with over a 100k kms on the clock is not bad as long as there is a full service history. Plus the F30 gen N55 is better than my car, because of many reworked internals by BMW. Though just make sure you have extra money set aside as when things do break on BMW'S it quite pricey. Though F30 gen is much more reliable than E series cars.

@carcrazyguysa4059 Жыл бұрын
@VIZ. 😆I had to grab it. Definitely not stock, its running a JB4 tune. I will admit that service book issue definitely annoyed me but I highly doubt the car wasn't maintained at all. The previous owner clearly spent quite a bit of money on the tune, exhaust, wheels. Just lazy staff at Webuy that mixed the books up with another car. Though it was the cheapest N55 135i so I couldn't ignore it I was too in love with that exhaust. I have owned the car now since Aug 22 and its not been that bad. Had some minor typical BMW issues, did some maintenance running strong so far 🤞Probably might sell it soon maybe as I just don't have the time to drive two cars😅
