Worked like a charm. Thank you for sharing. A tip to anyone struggling to get the clip undone for the electrical connector, I removed the one that he shows how to do in the video first and then took the bolt out. Way easier to remove once you can see what you are doing. Thanks again for posting the video. People like you are a lifesaver.

Replaced mine about 2 yrs ago. Fun fact: the cause of this part going bad is due to topping off your gas. I was shocked to discover that is the culprit for newer model vehicles. When pumping gas to a full tank, once that pump clicks off, do not add more gas. If you don't drive an analog vehicle, do not top off your gas. Go inside and get the rest of your money.

This was very helpful but pulling the electrical connector is a little tricky in that you MUST slide the red clip out, then push the black tab down and pull. I fussed an hour till i figured that out. Thx kenny

I REPLACED THE PURGE VALVE AND CAR RUN AND STARTS JUST FINE. BUT THIS PAST WEEK THE FUEL PUMP WHEN OUT. FOR PEOPLE OUT THERE WITH A CADILLAC SRX 2012 - LUXURY EDIT - THE MAIN FUEL PUMP AND THE ONE THAT WENT OUT ON MY SRX IT IS PLACED ON THE FRONT, WITHIN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. RIGHT HAND SIDE (WHEN YOU ARE FACING THE ENGINE AND THE BATTERY IS AT YOUR HAND SIDE). THE PART IS $400.00 AT OREALLY'S, OR AUTOZONE.
