2011 Chevy Silverado Code P0335 Fixed

How to fix code P0335 on a 2011 Chevy Silverado with the check engine light on the dashboard .
P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What's this code means its " Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit " and its locate it behind the started.
A P0335 "check engine light" code could be caused by: Damaged CKP sensor connector Damaged reluctor ring (missing teeth or not turning due to sheared-off keyway) Sensor output open Sensor output shorted to ground Sensor output shorted to voltage Failed crank sensor Broken timing belt Failed PCM. Also can cause the Stabilitrack/Service Traction Control light on.

If you changed the sensor and it still having issues CHECK THE WIRING! Check the whole wiring every single inch. The wiring on mine was BURNED to a crisp. The hot wire on the starter (by the sensor) burned up the wires. Check wiring before changing sensor!!

Muy bueno este video, exactamente el mismo problema tuve pero tan solo mostraba codigo P0305 y reparamos motor y el problema continuaba. Luego de ver este video encontre el verdadero problema de misfire lo cual era crankshaft pos sensor.

Thank you. This code and lights came on on my mom's chevy 1500 and your video was very good and easy to understand. My boyfriend and I are going to work on it now using your video. No one has messed with the starter though so I don't know if the cord came loose like in your situation but we atleast know where it is and what we're looking at :)

Looks like the same intermittent issue I am having. Seems every time it rains this happens. YEAH, I get to go under my 2013 Tahoe PPV! TY for this video showing the exact symptoms I have. If you put a NEW sensor in You have to let the computer re learn.. @ 5000 rpms, with a scan tool, at least that is what I am told.

tengo ese mismo problema pero mi pregunta es ese sensor lo traen todos los 4.8 y los 5.3 la mia es una tahoe 2009 pero le cambiaron el motor y no se que motor es el que trae pero la falla es la misma

Have you ever seen this happen but the check engine light was not illuminated? Mine was doing the same thing minus the check engine light, and the truck went into limp mode and was laboring moving forward. The problem started and then disappeared when I started the engine back up. I did just have the rear brake drums replaced. Going to see if I can pull a code.

These are two different videos, one has the locking tap broken and then magically it’s not broken

The lock was broken off of the connector. It's going to come off again.

Next time go through the wheel well you don’t need to remove the starter

It might depend on what model truck you have on the 2011 you have to unbolt the starter to get to the sensor. I would agree that removing the tire and wheel well give you better access to the sensor, but to get to the sensor you have to remove the starter bolts and adjust it down because the starter is front of the sensor. I just replaced mine yesterday and removing the wheel well was extra work but it definitely made it easier to remove the sensor, inspect the wires, and install the new sensor.

This truck would not start with ckps disconnected. He says cam sensor but he is wrong. He was probably high when he installed that starter.
