Hi you are using Jarhead high amp test light for checking ECM power and ground, since it is take upto 4 amp will not this hurt a circuit or blow the fuse with existing load. i think the lowest amp is 15 amp so this should not be a problem, but jus want to run it with you. I just ordered one after seeing your testing from that site.
@advancedleveldiagnostics5 ай бұрын
I use it with the load unplugged so all there is, is the fused wires. I wouldn't use this to substitute other loads that go into the pcm.

So say your ignition power wasn’t good, and it didn’t light the test light? Would I have to figure out why theirs no power for the ignition side? What’s that possible a broken wire, or another module took it down?
@advancedleveldiagnostics6 ай бұрын
Yes I would start at the fuse and see if it's good, then follow it out to the PCM, if the fuse had no power I would look at the diagram and see where that is supposed to get power from etc.

can you please explain.... Why why why??? Today's modern cars eg Toyota Glanza, Toyota Taisor, has 12V and then drops to 7V in the door close signal voltage. Whereas, it used to be directly 12V when door closed and 0V when opened in old cars. But today's cars has 12V at door closed, and after 20 seconds, it drops to constant 7V. When opening, it drops to 0V. Why there's delay in dropping to 7V at door closed?? What's the significance of this 12V to 7V??? Please explain 😊

@tnamen13076 ай бұрын
@@grabovg yrs done. Same results on oscilloscope. 12v for about 8 seconds, and then drops to constant 7V.
@tnamen13076 ай бұрын
@@grabovg I now confirmed that this is the way the circuit is designed. But what's the significance of dropping to 7 from 12 V after some 10 seconds??? Why not directly drop to 7V without delay?
@advancedleveldiagnostics6 ай бұрын
I have no idea lol, did you check if service info has a theory of operation?
@tnamen13076 ай бұрын
@@advancedleveldiagnostics no such info. I am sure it's how the company designed to work this way. But, curious to know, what's the significance of dropping to 7 from 12 after 20 seconds??? What's the purpose? It seems capacitor plays a role here. But i can't think of possible reasons for the delay to 7V 🤔🤔🤔
