Now that you have had some seat time, have you needed to install a panhard bar to the rear? TIA

When riding alone or with people in the front seat only (my most common riding) I don't feel the need for one. When I have the back loaded up, I can feel some swaying. Not sure that I am gong to do a pan hard bar or totally rework the suspension. I may just leave it b/c having people on the back isn't that common for me.

I saw in your other video a brief shot of the front suspension and intermediate shaft for the steering. Did you modify the steering shaft to lower the cart with air? After reading your post on buggies gone wild, i have a good idea what to do, but few people discuss the steering shaft and if it needs to be modified to travel more while lowering. Thanks and you have a sweet cart! I'm lowering a 22' ezgo gas, my concert will be the motor, but i think i can shim the axle to tilt the motor down in order to lower the rear more. We'll see I guess.

I have a new video coming with more details on the front.

@@aberk20 I am toying with the idea of building a metal plate over the top of the steering rack and mounting a single air bag like on the rear of a truck to lift and lower. I'll do the leaf spring mod you did as well. I'll have to build a plate off of the top frame (where the top shock mounts are. My thought was the single bag would ride softer. I know it will lean more when you turn fast but the rear will have both air shocks and most of the weight is in the rear anyways. What are your thoughts?

@deanlacombe5006 i have seen that done too. I'm not the best at metal fab so I kept it simple. I think you're OK to do that in the front, but the rear really benefitted from having separate bags and air control. Even those bags are designed for heavier duty use, so you may get the same results.

Great info. Thank you. Do u see a need for a panhard setup of any kind or will this keep the rearend from swaying from side to side?

I still don't have a lot of seat time just yet. I've been waiting on a new body and roof, so the cart is in pieces. I'll probably make another video mid summer and talk about how the suspension is holding up.

how's the handling ? i have a lifted ezgo TXT with a predator 670 in it that i'd like to do this to for ride quality
@aberk20 Жыл бұрын
The handling has been great for solo rides or rides where only the front seat is occupied. Once you sit an adult on the back seat, the handling noticeably decreases, but nowhere near as bad as it was prior to this upgrade.

You still playing paintball?

I am. I played a couple of months ago, but the footage was a combination of boring and embarrassing. Still not happy with how I shoot left vs right handed when watching it on camera. It really blocks the lens.
