You actually brought the videos back. This makes me happy. I wanted all the videos you created in one playlist, so this is great to see again. Kudos Kevin
@noemedmedia
@noemedmedia 2 жыл бұрын
I would like to suggest that you make a playlist (on this channel) with JUST the "Game Room" videos. It's just a bit cumbersome to skip the game reviews on the current playlist..I have done it though, watched all the room videoes "manually" ,and it was just so much FUN to watch the progress in system size and KZbin skill grow. Remember, even if 2022-Kevin thinks the above video is "cringe" - 99% av those of us with old consoles do not have even 25 connected, or a single video published. Even the old videos are inspiring. I think such a playlist would also be interesting to have on the main retro channel, somehow.

There is something I like about these old collection video's from the first few years of KZbin. The lighting quality is not so good, but there is a charm to them.

Finally found your video again! I love how streamlined everything is in this setup. It's actually what inspired me to set up my game room (with not nearly as many sweet consoles as you) in a similar manner. I like seeing people's game room tour, but too often they have random crap and figurines and such cluttering up their shelves. I like that yours is all about the consoles. It's like a museum display. Can't wait for the update video!

I'm really thankful for the tips you gave me in the forum. It's because of your set-up that mine is working so well :) One thing I really would like to see in a next video would be you telling the name of each console. There are some intelivision like that I really don't know the name.

First of all. Thank you for showing us such a great collection of consoles. I personally just collect consoles 1990 and up. Also, a neat trick my friend and I to solve our ac adapter plug issue was to use a small thin strip of black tape to thicken the circumference of the ac adapter. This way it will perfectly fit in to the system w/o the ac adapter becoming loose. Hope this helps! Cheers.

How do you play them with wired controllers if they are not being moved, the top shelf ect...
@HowToX

Not sure what you mean. The controller cords are tucked into the trays, so when I go to play them, I just untuck the cords. That goes for every system in the top row.

Yes that was what everyone thought about the 32x, but it's been done. Also the saturn s-video cables are like $20-$40 bucks when i was looking for them they were hard to find.. So what I do is put the jacks right in the back and tap in to the connector from the bottom of the saturn that way people can use big thick wires to get good video out of it. Also do the region switch on them. But yeah let me know if you are interested in getting yours modded.

0:48 Hmm, think I am hearing some revenge of shinobi music? You are a console setting up god. Im the guy from digitpress. My shelving is very similar to yours, so thinking the rack mount power supply things will fit well on the top of my shelving like yours do. Found that item on amazon, they have a teeny tiny picture, so you cant realize how wide those things are ha. Your video helped me visualize them better. Eventually when I get my consoles setup, I'll post a video on my channel about it.

Just wanted to say hello Gaming. I feel that console and pc gaming has had a major impact in my life as a youth until present date. But I have never seen such a well designed and thought out setup like yours. Just curious do you braid your cables in the back with cable management? It looks very nice and I would not have the capacity to build something of this magnitude and have it look so clean and organized. Great Job! :)
@benjokazooie3178

The sega megadrive (genesis) is capable of rgb through scart. It would require you to find better cables and adapters but it doesn't require any modification. Also the 32x uses the same output as the model 2 so why not just use your s video cable on that. It won't degrade the signal. S video can only carry the s video signal. The same as composite can only carry the composite signal. That's where scart is far superior. It can carry s video, composite and true rgb signal. It's unfortunate that it wasn't released outside of Europe to any degree.

I love the setup. I need a CRT with an S-Video port. Mine doen't have an S-Video port and It only does mono sound but My SNES and N64 sound go through my PC surround sound speakers. everything else has to use the TV speakers. It's cool to see some rare consoles that not many people know of and the Genesis controllers on the 2600. I my self love using my 6 button Genesis controller on my 2600 but It sits in my Genesis when I'm not playing the Atari.

Nice setup man! Metal racks do make the best choice for connecting multiple systems as they allow perfect air flow and keep all your systems happy. Don't mind the stupid comments such as "Hey your TV sucks @*&#%$!!" I've been getting those since 2004 and they never stop! I also tried putting the reason in my description, but they never read that *sigh*.. This is pretty much how I would have my setup. I've had to downsize when we moved into an apartment. Some day I'll get it going again...
