Thank you for this very helpful video. I had this check engine code on my 2011 GMC Terrain. Following your video (and a couple of others on KZbin) I was able to replace both solenoids and cleared the check engine code and the problem has gone.

How often would you recomend changing these parts to Avoid stalling problems? at 30k, 40k? every third oil change or when?
@derbycityracing29973 жыл бұрын
Could this be the cause of it shutting off while driving. Car starts up fine and no codes or cel, but 5 mins into driving it just shuts off, wait 5 mins and you can turn it on no problem then it’ll do the samething. 2011 terrain sle 134k miles

So, what if you're getting the P0010 and both actuators still test around 12.5 ohms?
@johndutton48604 жыл бұрын
just did both on my moms 2013 gmc terrain set a code p0011-00 for the intake test intake it was within spec tested the exhaust is was over 30 ohms so i replaced both with ac delco parts and the re tested the oringal ones and the exhaust was still over 30 ohms but the intake that tested good the first time was 27 ohms glad i replaced both

$44 for OEM on Amazon. Takes less then 5 minutes to switch out. Most shops will charge over $900 for this. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. It's easier then changing your oil.

Thank you for this very helpful video. I had this check engine code on my 2016 GMC Terrain. Following your video (and a couple of others on KZbin) I was able to identify which solenoid was no longer functioning. Replaced both the solenoids and cleared the check engine code and the problem has gone. 👍

Just poor build quality. We replace a set of these at least every month.

@@fixingcarswith15thstautomo36 i replaced both of these on my wifes car first thing when the code came on, even though the car ran fine and the tested ok, thinking that because they are so common to go bad that they were probably having a intermittent problem . Turns out I had more serious problems... stretched timing chain and bad cam phasers... all before 100,000miles! It will be a long time before I trust a GM product again.
