The fact that this bus on this video was brand new, now it's old and most likely sold to a non-transport service.. unless the district doesn't have a 10 year contract

The sound you hear before the engine starts is the ignition (when the glow plugs are heated in pairs of cylinders, 3 times beacuse it is a straight 6 cylinder, to start the engine proprely) This sound in CE's is, as far as I can go trough my mind, heared since 2005 with the VT365 engine... As for the C2's, the sound is been heared since they've got the " Mercedes Benz" engine (in reality, Detroit Diesel produces them) in 2007 (MBE900)

I appreciate you responding to my response I was looking for a little info I am school bus driver and I was in service on this bus several months ago but have not driven it so I had forgotten a little I was looking for info on where the amber light switch was on the bus.

@hcs4life21 After activating the ambers I flipped the door release switch, which allows it to operate by hand. That's why the reds didn't come on. Had I opened the door with the switch on the panel the red lights would have come on. When I get back in the bus.. I turned the door switch to the open position, and the reds came on. The door was still in manual mode though, so it didn't move. Before leaving the bus to look at the reds I flipped the switch back to auto.

Great video! My district won't get door controls on the steering wheel, they have to be on the right of the driver.

What year did International make the CE ignition sound like a car ignition? I know The Thomas Saf T Liner C2s ignition sounded like a car ignition as early as 2008. I dont know about 2007 or earlier. I know my former High school driver now days has a 2008 Thomas Saf T Liner C2 and the ignition sounded like a car ignition and my former Middle school driver has a 2010 C2 that has the same ignition sound.

That was strange. Normally the sequence for flashers is the master switch first, followed by ignition switch for the yellows, then when the door opens the reds automatically begin to flash. Did I miss something?
