2011 Kia Optima EX Review | Kia of Newmarket

For those thinking this in an SX model, this is a Canadian EX Luxury model which has a lot of similarities with the SX, including the LED tails. I'm not sure why it has the SX rims, but it does not have the paddle shifters or turbo engine. Canadian trims are different than those of the US.

I love everything about the car, and it's the best featured car for it's price. However, I hate the rims, I'd rather have had normal rims that won't scratch as easily as the current ones.

He does an excellent job. He does make the point that the Kia Optima is loaded with features. I do have new car fever, keep looking at Kia because they offer so much standard. Anyone else compare to this?

@forexdragon no, Look at the body kit. The one in the vid doesn't have the lip at the bottom of the bumpers, fenders and side skirts. The SX has lip all around the car to give it a sportier look.

The design of the updated Optima was penned under the guidance of Peter Schreyer, Kia's chief design officer, and also former chief designer for Audi and Volkswagen. I guess that's why it's design has a similar look to the Audi you mentioned.

@squig792000 No...you're wrong. That's the EX Luxury Edition model. The SX has ground efx, paddle shifters, sport pedals, two tone leather seating, spoiler, etc.

@cobaltss1985 well if you are leasing a 2012 sportage, then why didn't you just get the optima in the first place, it was released a year ago. This is why you must research before you buy/lease a car. And about the lease thing, I'm not sure if Kia allows what you need, but i know you can put your car on lease busters (a website where you get someone to take over your lease) but you lose your down payment, then you just lease your new car and youre ready to go!

help guys... I got pre approved for a car loan... I am looking at trading my scion tC for one of this because I am so sick of a 2 door car.. I like my tC because it is fun to drive and good on gas... is this car worth it? because it is about 10g more than my scion tC.. the one I am looking at is SX 2011 turbocharged

This car is giving Camry and Accord a serious run for their money with features only available on much more expensive European cars. The Optima is also much better looking than the bland styling of the Camry and Accord. Way to go Kia! Now you just need to get over driving around with a Kia badge with is a small turn off.

@forexdragon In Canada, things are just a little different. The EX Luxury does not include the paddle shifters. I wish the U.S. had an option like Canada because I like the Supervision Meter.

what I love about this video most is that he said "COCKPIT" as the guy in the previous video I watched =) it just sounds funny. The new KIA Optima looks beautiful with nice gadgets, 1 thing I don't like about the SX Turbo are the wheels, UGLY AS HELL, should've gave it a better looking sport wheels. Why did it take so long for KIA to release a car that actually looks good, all previous year KIAs sucks, might buy this 2011 Optima.

i wouldnt hate on kia so much if they were more original with their designs. exterior wise the front grill seems stolen from the honda civic and elements from audis. the side mirror blinkers and tail lights are VERY similar to my dad's A3. please dont copy others.
