If you don't want to get brake fluid all over you may want to use a small clear tube on the fittings, makes cleaning up a little easier. I need to order more brake fluid and do this to my wife's SUV and my bike.

Eben How do you know which is the best choice, fluid flush or fluid change??? I have seen you do both options on different vehicles, just need clarification

Great question Adam there's many variations of doing a flush You could do a basic brake fluid flush which is where you just pump the brakes and bleed the brakes or you could do a transmission flush with the machine or you could do a transmission flush where you take off the return line and wait until it runs clear and then put the return line back on so there's many variations. There's also flushing the motor with engine flush and then there's also flushing a transmission as well. So it really depends on the application most of the time I flush motors every time with the AMS oil engine flush. transmissions I usually do not flush all I do is just do a drain and fill replace the filter gasket clean the magnet put the pin back on and then fill it with fresh signature series amsoil ATF fluid. Just depends on your application

my car battery went dead while bleeding my brakes. After i finished the brake flush, i jumped the engine but then immediately the check engine light turned on. I went to autozone and code ABS malfunction and traction off showed up on dash. not knowing what to do, i removed the battery, check engine light turned off for now but for how long?

That's normal on older cars all the sensors get corroded it triggers the check engine light all the time as the wiring gets old with corrosion and rust totally normal

Did you use a scan tool to flush the abs or was this just a normal brake bleed? I have a 2008 GS 350 and thinking about flushing the system using a scan tool and vacuum pump.
