Just curious as to why you chose this mux method over just replacing the bios? Is there a benefit over this method to disabling using the bios change?

@@iRevive He probably just means the software method to bypass the AMD GPU. That is, the nvram command and disabling of the ATI/AMD drivers aka "extensions". I've done that for both Snow Leopard and High Sierra. The disadvantage is that there is no brightness control in High Sierra. There is in Snow Leopard though. However, if I boot to Snow Leopard to change the screen brightness, that also alters it for High Sierra after as well (to whatever fixed brightness setting was left). Now I wonder if the patcher works with the software method. I would assume not? Does it interact with the gmux firmware?
