A stock 2011 Panamera Turbo has about 525 bhp at the engine. Tuning and intake will get it to about 600. My 2016 also has bigger after market turbos, 200 cell catted downpipes, and gets 730 bhp at the engine. Had to retune the PDK ECU to handle the added power. It’s a beast.

@basser41609 The whole price argument is null and void if you are just referring to the U.S. alone. A ZR1 cost a lot in European countries. And Aston Martin limits their engine to 510 on a V12 because of marketing. They CAN make a shit load of horsepower out of a V12, but what's the point? It would absolutely destroy the competition. Also does the SSC Ultimate Aero have luxury amenities inside, while still maintaining 267 mph? German engineering is very well-rounded for the price you pay.

@twztd28 the zo6 is twin turbo, I was there that day, he had just got them put on there, he was tuning it, I have a video or two of it that day. it one of the quickest street cars there, I left before this run. I did see the Porsche show up it is an ex Alabama football players car

Is that a Mansory or Gemballa Panamera or something... I don't feel like looking it but I know its one of those... I think. I don't think that Z06 was Twin Turbo'd. If It was, that's a very moderate tune. Because that's only about 6.5 mph faster than I trapped when mine was completely stock the one time I took it to the local strip. I would expect one with serious power to trap considerably faster.

@basser41609 The Aero is only a 6.3L if I'm not mistaken ;). You forgot to mention the fact that many Z06 owners including myself average over 25mpg highway with that 7L V8. If you messed around with the fuel injection you could probably easily squeeze around 600 crank hp out of it. But then you would get the same gas mileage as a Ferrari... By that I mean it would be bad.

Also, I raced the Porsche 5 or 6 times and won everytime. However, he was killing me out of the hole each time averaging 1.5's 60' while I didnt get a single one under 1.9, hence me not getting in the 10's. Had to run him down each time. He kept trapping 115ish while I was trapping 135ish. His car is wicked out of the hole (see his "burnout") haha. P.S. The owner of the Porsche was ex-Alabama lineman and now NFL lineman Andre Smith. We arm wrestled after, I won that too! LOL

a 130+ mph trap is def. turbo... and like "hunter" said... you can hear the turbos spooling down after the burnout... at first I didn't think it was turbo either 'cause I didn't hear the blow off... but an 11.5 on street tires is respectable...

@CyberGTX09 thank you for proving my point for me. the zr1 acr and ctsv all sit BELOW the 130,000 mark. the McLaren F1 is in the the millions range, as is the veyron. i love both cars, dont get me wrong. and i am completely aware that europe is still using manual six speeds, but Lamborghini is on the verge stopping production of their classic gated six speed and other companies have already done it. some people just cant deal with the fact that america offers cheap(in comparison) and killing it.

That Z06 should win every time! 4 door luxury car vs a "super" car. but the guy in the Porsche is comfortable and after about 30 more runs that Chevy will be broken, and the Porsche will still be as good as it was on the first run.

Is a turbo Z06. Only 4 PSI boost and was first time at track with turbos. Weak tune, was only 3 mph higher traps than before turbos but 1/2 second faster. Got several 11.2's which I found to be fairly respectable considering 30 profile runflat tires. Absolute garbage tires. Actually got an 10.69 on slicks before turbos. Traction is the problem. In process of swapping engine to get 15-20 PSI boost. Should be done in 4 weeks or so. That, in addition to some tires, should yield mid 9's. . .

@wdl87 I respect your opinion however, you have a few facts confused. First of all, the Porsche lost all races (5 or 6) including this one. However, the AWD Porsche is an extremely fast car with incredible traction off of the line. His 60' times were over half of a second faster than mine but his trap speeds were over 20 mph slower. I have more power, he has better traction. Simple as that. If I add drag radials, it is ugly. If he adds power, its ugly. Simple. BTW, Porsche has 550 hp.

About SSC AERO..,it was build to show the world that, Yes,we can make cars with over 1000 hp too,just like you!! But the power is nothing without proper shassis,gearboxes and driveshaft!! Since you dont even have yet dual clutch 7 speed gearbox and even half of the electronic arsenal of BMW engines...you v got one Big block to use it for trucks and...chevy corvette,oh and dodge viper..

I have a Porsche Panamera Turbo. Its obvious to me that is not a stock Panamera. First, this is a high-end $150k 4 door luxury sedan racing a 2 door sports car purpose built for speed. The Panamera is one of the top 5 fastest sedans in the world. the only 4 door cars that are faster is the hellcat, Austin martin and the bently. Cadillac and bmw m5 can also do 200 mph. But His Panamera has at least $10K worth of upgraded body work. Plus he puts the car on the track. He likely has the Panamera Turbo S that has slightly larger turbos producing 50 extra hp and an extra 100 hp released from the ECU and 20 more in a exhaust upgrade. That alone is over 650 hp for another $10K. There are several reasons he beats the corvette. 1, all-wheel-drive vs 2wd. all 4 whees o the Panamera are pulling. Meaning much more traction. 2, PDK transmission has two shafts. the 2nd shaft has the next gear already spooled up. This equals zero loss of RPM. 3, Launch control with kick-down function. this puts rpm at 4500 withgas and brake to the floor. release the brake and the car takes off like a rocket. 4, the sport chrono function changes the shift points , timing and everything to the most aggressive points. combined this car is lethal with the right driver. I have never lost a street race in mine. Then to have 4 doors, It is truly a great car.
