I just bought my 2011 wrx. I gotta tell ya, MAN what a car. I owned meany subarus in my time, This car is fun to drive, And has loads of power. If you can't afford the Sti, go for the WRX. More bang for the your buck. Thanks for the review of the Wrx.

The 2008 model WRX had a engine swapped from a legacy GT and that engine is now found in the Forster XT. It makes 225hp, 224lbs torque and gets the same mpg as the 265hp engine(bigger turbo).

Tried this car a month ago and I love the performance, especially the handling. But I do not really like the interior, I prefer 2010 Legacy GT's interior (although in different class) or a '10 speed3. I am driving a Legacy 2.5i right now and so far I am impressed. Boxer for life !

don't understand how these cars hold their value so well , a 2006 sti is still going for 13-16k , this generation is in the 18-22 range...not far off from the brand new ones . unless dealers just overpriced everything

My IS350 does 0-60 in 4.9 and is fully loaded, heated/vented seats, navigation and 13 speakers. How often do I worry more about my cars 0-60 over its creature comforts? Pretty much never.

True. Naturally the WRX is better on bad roads. That wasn't a big priority for me. For handling on dry roads I prefer RWD over FWD or AWD, which is why my last few cars have had it. The SRT4 was kind of a grenade car too. Fast, cheap, but forget about reliability over 60,000 miles.

They're great cars and the engine is underrated. This thing has such mega torque from 3000rpm a V8 will have to work hard to keep up. Drove one for a few weeks and it's one of the first cars that made me laugh.

That's true but it wouldn't kill them to improve the interior appointments and materials quality a bit. Even if it adds $1500 or $2000 to the sticker price I think it's worth it. Mechanical and suspension characteristics is top notch as always at the least.

I would take a ralliart over this, or a evolution MR over a STI. My friend owns a impreza premium, I have a impreza WRX. The ride is stiff and real road MPG is low, I get 16.5mpg during regular driving, and 15.4 doing full throttle. Only got the EPA estimates when you never past 2000RPM. Good video
