The beauty of the Savage/S40 is its pure simplicity. Simple basic design. 652cc thumper with GOBS of torque!!! Still the same bike since the mid 80's . Great power, simple to work on at a great price. Nice bike!!!!

Thanks for the video. I own a Harley but I've always loved the looks and the idea of the long stroke single cylinder of the Suzuki S40. Now I know the S40 can handle highway speeds. I rarely go faster than 62 or 63 mph. I figure if somebody behind me wants to go faster they are always welcome to pass. Suzuki has dropped the S40 from their line up for now, but I hope they bring it back maybe with a redesign. In order to sell them in Europe they will have to add EFI disc brake on the rear wheel and ABS. Who knows what the future holds???

Incredible bike the s40's are. I just stick to 65mph (the speed limit here on the interstate/highway in my area) limit here. I may go 70mph once in a while, but I'm a careful rider. No reason to ride like a jack*ss. Has incredible torque. My speedometer is 5mph off, so when I go 70mph on the speedo, it's actually 65mph. Always been that way for some reason. Ride slow, lookout for everything, and just let the impatient people pass. Biggest thing is, just enjoy the ride, smile, wave at the kids in passing cars, and love life. The s40 weighs less than 400lbs and is perfect for smaller riders (I stand at a whopping 5 foot 3 inches haha!) But isn't bad for taller riders.

Mine came on the bike from factory, with a "boulevard" sticker on the front of it. Should be able to do an online order to get yourself one. But it is short. Doesn't block the face from wind. I have the gopro mounted on my chin of the full faced helmet, so it might make the windshield look bigger than it is. Haha!

Tina Rowland I was thinking the same thing. Looks very smooth and seems to handle the highway speeds very well. I’m going to take a very close look at this bike for a future purchase. Great video!

@@TheWerometal has a lot of torque for a one cylinder, so no issues climbing. Not bad vibration in the hands at all. Feet gets vibrated mostly on the foot pegs. But I take this bike on long rides all the time, no issues.
