2011 VW Polo 1.2 Tsi project - Episode 7 - getting it running, but ends in DISASTER

Hi the same thing has just happened to my 1.2 12v 13 plate. I’m being quoted 2,000 for a repair! Have you managed to get and keep this running or is it not worth the repair?

it needed a set of rocker arms. fitted them and the noise went. car is now sold

Hi instead of all the working inside the engine, is swapping for another a better option??

Great question. If this was a customers vehicle a good used engine is much more cost effective. But as this was my vehicle, labour was technically “free”
