www.autobytel.c... The 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD is not your normal everyday luxury sedan. This car features a 305 horsepower V-6 engine, 6-speed manual transmission, and Super Handling-All Wheel Drive. The TL falls right in the middle of Acura's luxury car line-up and offers the perfect blend of performance and luxury plus it looks so sexy. The base price for the 2012 Acura TL is $35,705 with the top of the line model starting at $45,185.
The 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD is powered by a 3.7 liter V-6 engine featuring VTEC and a high flow exhaust system. This engine makes 305 horsepower and 273 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway with the automatic transmission. The entry level models get a 3.5 liter V-6 engine that puts out 280 horsepower and 254 lb-ft. of torque. Besides being less expensive, this engine gets much better gas mileage at 20 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway.
The interior of the 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD is quite comfortable. The seats produced by Acura may just be the best in the business. The driver seat is 10-way adjustable while the passenger is an 8-way adjustable unit. Both front seats are heated and you can opt for the Advance Package which adds cooling. The rear seats are spacious and can comfortably accommodate 3 passengers. Other interior features are the dual-mode climate control, Bluetooth, Push-Button Start, optional ELS Stereo Surround System, and Navigation just to name a few.
The Acura TL is one of the IIHS Top Safety Picks for 2012 and with good reason. The TL benefits from ABS, Electronic Brake Distribution, and Brake Assist. The Vehicle Stability Assist works to keep the vehicle on the road at all times. A wonderful six-airbag system helps to decrease crash severity for the occupants.

One of the greatest cars ever made, only problem is that stupid front Grill. The handling and drivability is awesome compared to other cars. The Tech should be upgraded using a touch panel.

Acura is Honda... Lexus is Toyota.. Infinity is Nissan.. They are the Luxury car make of the parent company, every material in there is still made from the parent company. It was the USDM marketing way of dividing the luxury cars from the rest of the "economical daily" options.

Comparison to Honda Accord is very inaccurate and can only be made by someone who has never driven the TL AWD model. It is kind of like saying that an iPod Touch and Iphone are the same because both are made by Apple.

It's a Honda you don't need to worry about RPMs when you shift these cars are made for those high rev shifts but i shift at 3K

I likw all those buttons on the dash. One pin head car reviewer complained about that, then all of them started to copy that line. LIke the way theyt complain about Corolla, each and every year they put Corolla down like they never done to a car and it still sells best in class. Car reviewrs either consider themselves as equal with Aristocrats who has superior likes over the common people, or they think that they really know better than both consumers and car makers..

I agree, the S60 wouldn't win any awards for styling, but I think most would agree that Acura takes the cake for the UGLY award. I just meant "nice alternative" in the sense that I don't think the S60 is as nasty looking as the TL. Of the TL, S60, or the Lacrosse, I'd put my money on the Lacrosse, but that's only if I'm going by styling.

Still ugly as hell. It's ok to drive, but the styling just bothers me. For the same price, or better, and the same performance, the Buick Lacrosse (touring model) is a better choice. The Volvo S60 is also and awesome alternative. This is a fancy Honda Accord--how can anyone overlook that?

Junk?? - Just so you know, I drive a 2013 TL SHawd from new. It has never broken down on me once!! I have modded the exhaust and ride Vossen wheels. Made this car into a real baller - I hope you drive a 2012/13 BMW or Audi and will never know what a great car this is!
