absolutely beautiful aircraft. over 60 yrs old and these planes still look modern today.... can you imagine how cocky the pilots flying them in 50's felt?

F86 saber is the icon of historical victory of Pakistan air force against Indian air force in air combats in 1965 war. This plane played a decisive role in getting air superiority
@DaNomadLad5 жыл бұрын
shehla sattar The F-86 helped Pakistan airforce achieve air superiority within the first few days of the war. The legend MM-Alam had shot down 11 Indian jets and played a vital role in achieving air superiority against India as he shot down 5 Indian jets in 60 seconds. I have a diecast model of MM-Alam’s F-86 siting on my desk. When ever I look at the kill count on the jet (11 Indian flags), it instills unmatched pride going through my body.

Vince, I can imagine, and even remember. My father was flying the f-86 in the late 50s with the Air Guard. He flew a number of jets during his career, and loved them all in different ways, but I'm certain he thought there was none more beautiful than the sabre.

Amazing Photography!!! Jets are so hard and I kept thinking, "who is this guy?" Then when the first Sabre was landing and the fuel truck drove past , blocked the Jet and you kept right on the plane when the truck got past I thought, ..."come on...you've got to be kidding...who is this guy?" I am putting this footage as the best that I have ever seen from an airshow demonstration. No kidding! I don't know if I went into a vision state or what but It's hard to wrap your mind around the exponential jump in design and efficiency from the F-80 Shooting Star. The P-51 (F-51) Mustang was still being used by National Guard Units up until 1955-56! Now consider that The F-86 entered service with the USAF in 1949 and was the primary fighter in the Korean War!

An absolute beast it was, back in the days. My grand father used to be an F-86 pilot in the Pakistani airforce. He has shared many majestic stories about his sorties on this bad boy. I admire this bird everyday, siting on my desk it shimmers with glory as I open the blinds in the morning.

Does anyone know why the leader's engine doesn't smoke like the others ? New engine ? different fuel or something ?
@Agwings19607 жыл бұрын
I seriously doubt these guys do air shows for a living, they probably don't get paid enough from air shows to compensate for the expense of the aircraft, let alone the extra training that goes into flying like this. More than likely they do this for the love of flying and to promote aviation, probably using their own money. Out of 20 thousand views, you've got about 130 likes, sometimes people piss me off!!!
@dllmpb066 жыл бұрын
They get an appearance fee plus fuel upon arrival for their performance and topped off again before they depart home. A hotel room per pilot including rental cars are also provided. The fees cover the cost and make it worthwhile to attend airshows. The one pilot Dan actually is a billionaire and has over 40 vintage aircraft including owning two of the sabres you see here. They do about 20 shows a year mostly in P-51D mustangs again owned by Dan.

Dan Friedken. Billionaire family, great supporters of Aviation, African nature preserves alongside other things. The family father started an airline and was friends with Carol Shelby. Saw an opportunity to import Toyota in the 60’s and it worked out. $$$

I wonder if the "bang-seats" work or if you have to bail out manually. Possibly they don't make the cartridges for the seats anymore.

Why is the middle one putting out less smoke than the others? Does it have a different engine?

Paul Hebert The Bremont Horsemen consists of Steve Hinton, Ed Shipley, and Dan Friedkin. I saw them in Battle Creek, MI a few years ago. They fly a few different planes and at the show I was at they flew three P-51 Mustangs. Great show, and their music and entrance is one of the best on the airshow cicruit
@ovationpdh9 жыл бұрын
Steve Hinton is an incredible pilot, I wonder how many different types of aircraft he has flown?
@SBUBandit9 жыл бұрын
Paul Hebert His bio on Horsemenflight.com says over 150 types of aircraft and he owns a company that restores warbirds. He definitely lives and breathes airplanes.
