New to DCS-just bought the Saber as my first a/c. started the tutorials-cold start, taxi and takeoff. I blacked out and never regained consciousness, and crashed in spectacular fashion lol. Having a blast thus far. Your tutorials have taught me some easier processes from the in game tutorials. So thanks mate! Cheers eh??

Its one of my favourite looking planes, Korean war jobbie that Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin flew missions in and bagged two MiG's as well....Hmm 🎼Fly me to the Moon and let me play amongst the -stars- MiG's...the two of us...🎵

I know this video has been posted for a minute. I just got the Sabre jet over the weekend. As a real pilot, this is one of my favorite planes and I would absolutely buy a real one if I hit the lottery. Anyhoo, dreaming aside, flying the Sabre was just as I expected. Without viewing any videos and whatnot, I had a perfect takeoff and landing in my first flight. I did find out the hard way how fragile the nose gear can be. On later flights, I somehow damaged the nose gear on takeoff (or something else happened) and it would NOT deploy for landing. I ended up aerobraking on landing until I could no longer keep the nose up. Sparkies ensued. Air-2-Air intercepts took some trial and error. The missiles on the Sabre take some effort to get them to lock-on. I ended up shooting a couple of MiG-29As down by sneaking up on their 6. But in some cases, they would just hit the afterburners and leave me choking on exhaust fumes. No way I could chase them down in the Sabre. All in all, I've enjoyed everything except ground attack. The rockets are extremely inaccurate. My canopy has bullet holes all in it from my last mission. Ooopssss. Keep the videos coming! Cheers!

I've tested the sabre on the nevada map, it's such a joy to fly! I was just wondering why you waited so long with the flaps and Gear.. personally i do all the trimming/gear/flaps on the downwind. Makes for a much more stable flight, be it below 200 kts. I've managed to put this bird down damaged the first time i flew it.. (yes, i managed to get shot!) but even with holes in it and controls not responding very good (throttle reacting/not reacting, half the dash shot out incl speedo, hahaha), it was quite dicey to put down but i did it in one straight in, do or die, approach with a succesful landing. It Reminded me of all the battle damaged landings i did in iL2 back in the day. Love yer vids, Cap, i like seeing your progression move up and up over the course of the video's... later you'll look back at these and go like "Aha!" ;) Have a safe flight and many good landings! (btw, taxiing with guns hot, is a nono ;) or was this the bait i fell for? )

Yeah, that might be it.. I guess Hans grietjes has a point there. Be gentle with the lovely airplane. Didn't know about the easily damagable nosegear yet, so thanks for that! Oh and congrats on the succesfull decklandings! Due to working with a joystick &wheel, my wrists donot permit much computer flying, so, your video's do help to hit the spot. I don't know why, but if am in the air and try to land my F-86 don't wanna cooperate with me. No flaps, gears won't go down and the airbrakes don't want to extend too.

The aircraft for DCS are quite expensive huh ? like, $75 for some, thats the cost of a triple A entire game, like, the game is fucking awesome, but I can't help but think these prices are just too steep, any thoughts ? ... also, don't get me wrong, I'm still going to purchase a few aircraft, but yeah, can't shake the feeling that they are overpriced !
