Thank you for this simple, music-less, speechless video. The viewer actually picks up on so much detail of the vehicle and its nature by just hearing it work. I wish more content creators made videos like these. You explained a lot about the car just by interacting with it. Sincerely, thank you. Also, for a 10 year old car at the time of filming, those 6 speed autos seem pretty snappy for what they are.

Those E70 Diesels are just awesome driven a couple of those. The Diesel engine is the one to get. Even though they can have egr problems. The Diesel just seems to suit that truck so well. Especially if you do some long drives or tow. I will have to get one as a daily down the road. Just keep in mind I dont own one yet because maintenance is not cheap. The repair bills aren't bad just as long as you are proactive with your maintenance, do part replacements by yourself or by using an independent auto shop that works on German vehicles. With these diesels there are kits to delete all of the EGR, DPF and DEF systems to add reliability.

This was a great video to watch. My husband and I bought a small hybrid travel trailer because we, and our grown son, do a lot of volunteer disaster relief work and need a place to stay where we can feel safe (stupid covid) but also to have some privacy at the end of a long day of roofing and mold removal, which is hard to get when staying with people, though that's nice too...anyway...the car we have right now is a diesel Cruz, which does tow a small work trailer to bring gear, but of course not an rv type trailer. We have to pick up the trailer next week and our old truck decided to give us some trouble. My husband found a 2012 'BMW x5 xdrive 35D with under 60,000 miles in beautiful condition and seems to have all the add ons inside that wed never be able to afford. So we'll have to get it before the long drive to get the trailer...sorry, I'm nervous so I babble even more then normal...so he just pulled the trigger with a deposit and we'll get in soon...but though I'm excited, especially to have something safe to drive and tow our little trailer, but I also feel sick to my stomach, just from buying something big. Our payment won't be much more them our cruz payment so thats good otherwise wouldn't happen So I'm happy to hear so many that love them!! I'm not sure how to use that big one button for everything thing, but guess we'll figure it out. We're not fancy people so I feel embarrassingly fancy in this, but we looked at trucks and different things, knew we wanted diesel, and this price couldn't just pass it up. I'm not sure how to play music I want, guess we'll see when we get it...I guess hook it to my super super old ipod to have a lot for our big drive. I am excited, also sick to my stomach 🤢😬 just a big purchase so that fear sets in. We wrote an magazine review article on one years back, so I know they're great...its just the big purchase thing..at least they're giving us a great price for our Cruz so that helps. So amy tips on how to use it ...music or whatever, anything to make it easy and fun, I'm all ears and appreciate these comments already!! Thanks so much...sorry for the nervous babble🙄😳😬

Since we have put 45000 miles on it we maintenance it every 7500 miles but the screen and electronic parts started going out after less than a year like the middle screen and the car losing power when driving and just shutting down all power off the accelerator. @AmandorXose4 жыл бұрын
@@paladin3116 Im not sure what you mean by hybrid but ill be more specific for ya. I have the 2012 model. In 2011 the X5 got a facelift to match the new X3 that just came out. Besides the subtle but significant exterior changes they got the new iDrive system. And gas models got an upgraded 8 speed transmission. The diesel model kept the 6 speed. When i commute i have a bit of stop and go, city, and highway driving. I average about 28 mpg for that. If I drive conservatively on the highway about 55-60 I can get up to 36mpg but usually about 32-33. When I drive in SPORT mode with a heavy foot that can dip as low as 20-22mpg. The reason i bring up the transmission is that the mpg starts to drop at 65 mph and significantly after 70 because the lack of more gears, but I still manage to get mid 20s. I still have the emissions system and everything is stock. 18 inch wheels. Ive heard of people deleting the system and with other small tweaks and tunes getting 20-50% better mpg. The engine will run better but your tailpipe will be dirtier. Hope that helps
