Have a 2012 as original owner and also experienced the leaky turbo but at 70k miles. It was a $4000 repair. Around the same time had to fix a leaking valve cover gasket. In addition, I had to replace all 4 wheel bearings. Aside from those repairs, at 12+ years old and garage kept it does still get some attention from people that I meet.

It's normal for the seatbelt to get jammed when you pull hard/fast on it... It's the mechanism put in place in case of collision... When you hit/collide, you lean forward at the speed the car was moving, hence that sudden move triggers the jam.

I understand that but sometimes it gets to be too finicky and will not release when I sit back and then lean forward if I am at an intersection looking for cross traffic. It's almost like its designed for a 1mph collision. thanks for the feedback and I am getting use to its over protectiveness.

Mine does not have a backup camera. I am not sure if that was an option for that model year.

Hey man sweet car! I'm thinking about this exact car and I know it's been a redundant question but how many miles you got? And how's the reliability especially with the engine and turbo

So far just rolled over 75k in Sept 2022. This was a CPO and the turbo was replaced in 2017 @ 45k. I try not to park it and let it heat soak so I will let it idle for 2+ minutes after highway driving. There have been some small issues (sucks in the snow, headlight moister and a blown speaker) but nothing major yet. Knock on wood. Good luck with yours when you get it.

These come stock with 20”. I have a big body Taurus which is way bigger than this and I have aftermarket 22” on it and people say my rims are massive 🤦🏿‍♂️ like bruh two more inches for a car that’s way bigger than this that comes with stock 20”. I don’t get people

So far doing well. I did get a letter for a factory recall but nothing major. I've been busy so I haven't had a chance to get the work done or to post a video about it but I plan to this fall.

Do you have problems with your USB connection not always playing music? Mine rarely connects.

For the 2012 I think it was only Apple iPhones that would work. I have an Android and that will not work. Not sure about later models if this is still an issue.

welllllllll........mine had engine completely rebuilt at 50k. $4.4k out of pocket. GM said "probably cracked pistons...known problem.." Total mess. I loved the car, but couldnt get rid of it fast enough at 95k. No trust in GM's JV engineering for aging parts.

@@HyperXprojects All stock. Had loss of power almost as if water in gas. Burned through the tank, filled again w Premium 93. Was better for few days, then, lots of white smoke, followed by CEL for one of the cylinders. Checked compression, had one coil replaced, but dealer said when I picked it up..."we talked to GM techs, they said that white smoke might be cracked cylinder..." This dealer was going out of business, so couldn't do deeper dive. Drove slightly better, new codes after 2 days, along with smell of unburned gas hitting the converter. No fkng bueno. Went to another dealer. Yadda yadda...car was in shop 2 weeks. They said they couldn't pinpoint the exact cause, as there were so many issues..."...fluids all over the place, oil pan empty....etc." GM subsidized $2,.2K, as car was titled >60 mos prior. They were apologetic and all, ignoring my insistance that this still shouldn't have happened. Car was fine until 90K; by that time needed ABS module, rear shock sensor, passenger airbag sensor, drivers' seat heater element; phone would randomly un-pair, interior lights occasionally not responding to door opening, trunk release was undependable. Every morning when I went out I wondered wtf I would face. I loved the look, the handling, everything about the car, but just couldn't take a chance on GM engineering as it approached 100k. Christ a clutch would've been $2k, even a headlight $1200. Done. I did get max trade-in from Mazda for new Turbo 6 during the pandemic. Not quite the head turner, but incredible engineering. ZERO turbo lag.

Did you searched on there to see if you could give the dealer some guidance? Good luck with your new ride! We all have a car that we hate to but have to part with.
