2012 charger Bluetooth issue fix

Looks the same as the Charger. So this probably works for most Mopar, at least 2005 and newer. Not sure if it was changed on the newest models. But I just have to pull mine to get the numbers and see if I can order one. My Bluetooth on the Uconnect is really getting irritating when it doesn't work. Thank you for this video.

Thanks for the video, fixed my wife's 2012 charger with the small 4.3 screen that had been broken for a year. For other people I bought the same number but ending in AK instead of the stock AH from a 2013. I did the battery cable discharge thing while the old one was out. Idk if it helped but its working again Thanks again

Before replacing, try just unplugging the cables. I purchased a used replacement on eBay. It said it fit 2013 Dodge Charger, but the USB connectors is keyed, and in my case, keyed differently. I put the old one back in, and it works. Disconnecting the battery cable might work too. The instructions in this video are spot on, you do need a short handle screwdriver, Philips. I used a putty knife to pry off the cover.

Gerald Mazur yes but the old unit will probably fail again over time. I know exactly what your talking about when you unplug it and plug it back in. I did this before but a few cranks later the issue came right back.

That number, 5091072AG, is the part number. AG means it went through 7 total revisions since its first inception. Which is indicated by AA. So it seems there has been a change to the part several times.

So the one for my car is 68158125AC. I found one online for 100 bucks that is 68209685AB. Any idea if it would work even if it's a complete different part number?

MrRivii no, and dodge probably doesn't even care to try to figure it out. All they want is money. The modules are made from very cheap material also so i understand why they break so easily.

I reflash these as a service on ebay. Thing's to know if just buying a replacement from ebay. Get one that comes from 2013 or higher or messaging may not be available. Buy from salvage yard not just some guy selling one with corrupt firmware. The numbers really don't matter that much. I don't even look at them anymore. Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger use the same module.

So what issue were you having? My charger has issues connecting, and won't display the song name or the artist. I took it to the dealer when it was under warranty, they replaced the radio but that didn't fix the issue. I'm thinking the Bluetooth module is in that box you replaced. Maybe that will fix mine. Do you have a link for the device you bought??

Michael Rodriguez II these cars don’t display the song and artist over Bluetooth. Unless you have a 2015+ model. No i got lucky and got it off eBay.

I just now changed my Control Module out thanks to this video. The part you want is CONTROL MODULE - MOPAR (68222278AA). Took me about 30 minutes due to cramp quarters. Also, the cables need the clamps squeezed to allow you to pull out easily.

I got lucky and found a guy selling a new one on eBay. That are very hard to come by unless you by from the dealership.

Amy Evette i got mine off ebay. They are really hard to find used. You can try to find a salvage vehicle that has one. Or go to dodge, which they will most likely charge you a Arm and a Leg for one.

i don't think so because there is two microphones that came installed. one under the dash and one on the rear view mirror. And you must have phone button on your steering wheel i believe.

The steering wheel buttons are optional. You can add the module to most vehicles and add a microphone. There are a few videos available here on youtube.

That’s how you know the Bluetooth module needs to be replaced. My car did the exact same thing. The Bluetooth modules in these cars are pure trash.

I’m not 100% sure. This was a long time ago. I would recommend taking yours off of your car and finding the part number and go from there. can’t go wrong with having the part number.

Yes it works for 2011-2014 models.

Honestly after about 6 months it messed up again, went to dealership and i needed an update, has been working perfect every since. I wasn't the update from uconnect website because my uconnect was already updated. Im guessing the dealership had an update that wasn't available to the public.

Sparkle Thomas only fix it yourself if you have a working module to replace your old one with. its a very simple fix.

So I think mine is out. No music is coming out of the speakers no radio no aux cord no anything. No hands free on the steering wheel. But everything seems to be working fine. Oh also no beeping noise when screen is pressed. Please help thanks

Telematics/Bluetooth module would affect the Phone, Bluetooth and Voice recognition features. The AUX is something different. You may need to pull the center console an check the wiring, or even the head unit.

when trying to connect your phone it won't work. also when you go to Bluetooth media, the "Bluetooth" words will not show up in the top left corner, it will just be blank.

+CJ Poosta so just a heads up if you run into an issue again with Unconnect. ya can download the latest update from the Unconnect website and load it into a flash drive and install it in the USB port in your car. worked for me ever since...

you can first try to see if there is sn update for your uconnect. but other than that the Bluetooth module probably has gone out. these modules are made very cheap in my opinion.
