I mean, both Vettel and Alonso have compelling arguments why they deserved to be champion in 2012. Vettel was clearly the fastest guy that season and reliability problems made the championship go down to the wire. But Alonso absolutely drove his heart out and almost managed to win a title in a car that shouldn't've been close to a title contender. To think we could've had seasons like this for many more years to come, had it not been for Mercedes' lobbying to change the regulations.

Same rules for everyone
@SdoubleA8 ай бұрын
@@F_Ryan Not necessarily. Mercedes had a huge advantage by developing for 2014 way back in 2012. The other teams were still focused on 2013 at the time as before the summer break it was looking like a heated title battle. Mercedes lobbied for the new regulations heavily because they knew they had the advantage.

Grosjean was a beast before Spa 2012. He's never been the same after the accident...
@matthewhull39774 жыл бұрын
You know that's incorrect. 2013 was by far his best season
@ciaronsmith49954 жыл бұрын
Grosjean was not even close to being a beast. Kimi was leagues better and still getting up to speed. Kimi destroyed him by over 150 points over 2 seasons.

@Rollo Treadway What are you even saying? When was he ever better than Raikkonen in 2013? Like 3 races where Kimi had setup issues. Kimi took 2 races off in 2013 for back surgery and still finished 50 points ahead of him! LOL
